Eight women enjoyed a long weekend in this lovely home! We have stayed here before and love the spaciousness, easy walk into town and extra touches the property manager does. Highly reccomend booking this property for your next stay!
We had an amazing stay! Janet was a great host from start to finish! She didn't leave anything untouched, from the wine, cake and flowers to a seamless and easy check out. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The property manager, Janet was the best, communicating with us prior to our stay and throughout to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Plenty of space and great for our multi-generational family vacation. We enjoyed walking to Main Street Highlands and all that the town had to offer. We will definitely be back!
This house was perfect for our 3 night weekend. Janet was outstanding, bringing flowers, cake and wine and keeping in constant communication. Beautiful 15 min walk to the heart of Main Street, 10 min walk to Mountain Grocer with great ready-made meals and essentials. Highly recommend!!
The house was very clean and nicely renovated. The owners and concierge were great communicators and very flexible. I definitely would stay here again.
My children and I come to highlands every year for a girls trip. Very comfortable and spacious home, great location close to downtown and Janet the property manager is awesome! Great communication and care with her guest.
This house was very comfortable for our family! We had a wonderful vacation. Great location- short walk to town. Quiet neighborhood. Property was very clean and organized . Our family enjoyed a walk to feed the ducks at the neighborhood Harris Lake, we enjoyed walking to the gorgeous Highlands Botanical Gardens, walking to town for the fireworks and just exploring the town. We can’t wait to go back!!!
The house was perfect for our family. Kids had a blast in the downstairs area and really enjoyed the bunk beds! The location was great. Close to town but still quiet and peaceful. The property manager, Janet, was very helpful and even brought some beautiful flowers when we arrived.
We enjoyed staying in this recently remodeled home. It is in a great location within comfortable walking distance both to town and to the Highlands Nature Center. We appreciated Janet reaching out to us before and during our stay and leaving us beautiful roses and a delicious cake to welcome us upon our arrival. Thank you for your hospitality.
My friends and I absolutely loved our stay! It was roomy yet cozy - we loved hanging out by the fire in the living room. And since we we’re celebrating our milestone birthdays, Janet the Concierge baked us a delicious cake and had roses waiting for us. A+ experience all around!
We had such a wonderful time at this property in Highlands! We were so impressed by how comfortable we all were. There is plenty of space for kids to have fun downstairs while adults can enjoy a relaxing time on the covered porch! We cooked several meals and were very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was. This truly felt like a home away from home! You won’t regret spending time here!
Property is very nice and perfect for 4 retired ladies to relax, play cards, and enjoy the town of Highlands. it is a long walk to the town. We chose to drive in. The only somewhat negative comment is that only the primary bedroom had bedside lamps. And, the living area could use a corner lamp by the fireplace. We wish it had a view, but would cetainly rent the beautiful houses again.
So easy, about 12 min walk to Main Street. Back porch surrounded by nature and relaxing. Use the blower in garage to blow it off and get rid of spider webs. Can also hose off front porch for relaxing outdoor meals. Remodeled bathrooms are a plus. Hall bath for 2 upstairs bedrooms is not ideal for sharing as the barn door closure is not airtight from sounds and smells 🤔 closets are small, pack light!
Our family had a lovely stay in the beautiful mountains of NC. Host was very nice, leaving us a cake and beautiful flowers. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Young ones loved the bunk beds and air hockey. For all the rooms and beds it had, it was still a bit snug; going in the front door it was necessary to step around the door to get up the steps. Beautiful porches front and back.
I lived in the house as a child and was so excited to see it on VRBO for rent. Absolutely beautifully updated and has been very well maintained both inside and out. It is walking distance to town. The kids loved the foosball table and the fire pit. There are cute steps and pathways in the backyard to see all the vegetation and the birds. The back porch is adorable and has nice lights around it for night time on the porch. The front porch is a great place to sit and greet people as they come walking back from town. This house has the perfect mix of quiet, private places for some relaxation and down time and entertainment, both inside and out, to be busy and moving. We would love to stay again.
The property manager is amazing - let’s start with that. This property is beautiful and was perfect for our family which included 6 adults, a 3 year old, and a 1 year old. We all had so much fun and loved getting to sit together all in one area which is sometimes hard with a family our size. A walk to town is perfect if you need some kind of exercise - it’s about a 20 minute walk. Couldn’t have found a more perfect place. This property was exactly like the pictures and even more perfect and beautiful if possible.
This is our family’s second time to stay here. We have looked at many properties in the area and I can say, as an interior designer, I appreciate the openness to layout. Our family was able to comfortably all gather in the living, kitchen and back porch. I love hardwood floors, and all of the bathrooms are magazine quality. Cleanliness is at the top of my priority’s and why we came back here. I am highly allergic to dusty or stagnant cottages and so this clean mountain chic cottage, is it for us! I would recommend walking to downtown to Four65 Woodfire Bistro + Bar for the best chicken Caesar salad I’ve ever had and wood fired pizzas.
In general was OK , but it’s NOT 5 minutes walk to the city - more like 15. Of the 3 main bedrooms only 1 had a box spring mattress, the other 2 were straw or seemed like. The only toilet /shower for 2 of the 3 rooms had a barn door with a latch that did not seal or close properly. The upgrade seemed badly designed?
Excellent property. Walking distance to downtown Highlands is a plus!!
