Welcome to Over Water Bungalow « TAHATAI ITI » your vacation paradise in Bora Bora!
This very exclusive over water bungalow overlooks the crystal blue waters of the lagoon and offers incredible romantic sunsets as well as a lot of privacy making it the perfect spot for both honeymooners and families.
This unique over water bungalow (1200 square-foot -110 m2) is part of a famous luxury complex started by the famous American actors Marlon Brando and Jack Nicholson. There are only 5 privately owned over water bungalows in Bora Bora. 2 out of the 5 were the property of Marlon Brando, another one was the property of his very good friend Jack Nicholson and our over water bungalow is next to the one that Jack Nicholson used to own.
Our over water bungalow accomodation includes 2 bedrooms with air conditioning and with their own separate bathroom, a modern full kitchen fit for a chef, a spacious living room and a large covered terrace-lanai overlooking the lagoon.
Enjoy the placid waters of the lagoon with its extraordinary colourful tropical fish allowing endless snorkeling in turquoise and pristine warm waters! If you wish to take a dip in the warm waters, nothing could be simpler. Just go down to your private dock and dive in.
Our over water bungalow is the perfect location for snorkeling and swimming and the bungalow comes with two kayaks.

Tahitian Dream on Bora Bora

25th Anniversary spent with my wife and two adult children (17 & 20). Pierre's bungalow could not have been more perfect. The flexibility to do nothing, or everything (full kitchen) was so nice to have the choice. The spacious condo gave us room to enjoy every minute. We stepped off the private dock into the water to see Eagle Rays, a Green Moray Eel, an Octopus and several beautiful fish. A wonderful vacation; we have and will recommend this condo to anyone.

Bora Bora condo

The property was everything and more as per the description and our expectations. Pierre is an excellent host. The condo is very modern in terms of its amenities. The information supplied for our stay went above and beyond. We enjoyed the sunsets and observing the species of fish that came around in the evening and early morning. Could not have asked for a better experience in our stay.

This place was perfect for our one week stay in Bora Bora. The home is so beautiful and being over the water was magical. We kayaked, snorkeled, jet skied, and went scuba diving but our favorite thing was just relaxing on the porch watching the ocean water. Thank you to Pierre for his great communication and for sharing this precious place with others.

Lovely dreamy bungalow

We swam in the lagoon and enjoyed the beautiful views from the deck. The feeling of getting away from it all permeated the place. It’s an escape- a retreat into nature and peace. Kitchen and washer dryer work well. The wood floors are gorgeous and the beds are comfortable. We feel so lucky to have spent time together in this beautiful bungalow

4 Perfect Nights in Paradise

What a great place to stay in one of the most beautiful locations on earth. These overwater bungalows make for a great way to enjoy the Bora Bora atmosphere at a fraction of the cost of the big resorts. Kayaking and snorkeling right off the dock were a daily treat before setting off to explore the real Bora Bora which we loved vs. the manicured resort experience. Pierre was a great host with tons of communication before our arrival and great recommendations on what to do and see on the island. Our only regret is that we didn't have longer to enjoy this near perfect accommodation.

Lovely Place

Lovely bungalow right on the water. There are kayaks provided and you can use them right outside the bungalow which we enjoyed. We bought snorkel gear from one of the local shops and could snorkel right outside the bungalow as well. Very windy area. You will need to rent a car. It’s on the north end of the island about 15 mins from most restaurants. The kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need to cook. It’s a more affordable alternative to the resorts and you still get an overwater bungalow. Me, my mom and boyfriend really enjoyed Pierre’s place.

One of the best

The bungalow was all we expected and more. Pierre provided us with all the information we needed. The bungalow was beautiful it was fully equipped and was conveniently situated so we were able to easily get to all the shops and restaurants. The ocean was incredible, calm and full of colorful fish. One of the best vacations!!

Amazing Vacay!

We absolutely loved everything about this bungalow and Bora Bora. Everything is very laid back and even though we had plans to do many more things, we enjoyed the over the water bungalow so much that we hung out there more than we thought we would. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation choose this locale.

Splendid OWB

Excellent spacious 2-bed 2-bathroom over-water bungalow (OWB) with huge shaded motu-view outside deck area. Very much bigger OWB than in any of the chain resorts. Remote location, so hire a car as Pierre recommends. Noisier than expected, with the ubiquitous Polynesian cockerels from 5am, plus significant road noise affecting the rear bedroom day and night. So bring earplugs. Well equipped kitchen including a freezer, dishwasher etc. Our first OWB with a splendid Miele washing machine plus condenser tumble dryer! We had strong winds and some heavy rain during our 5 night stay, so sadly did not use the 3 kayaks. The nice bathrooms both have very smooth slippery tiling, so the shower stalls really ought to have anti-slip mats for safety. Superb wifi, fast enough to run Netflix if you bring a ChromeCast, or similar gadget. Overall an excellent 2nd stay for us on Bora-Bora despite the dreadful weather and limited options for dining out. Definitely need to pre-book restaurant tables to avoid disappointment. Alternatively, the supermarkets in Viatape have upgraded since our 2019 visit, with Chin Lee much enlarged. Wider choice but pricey. Pierre was extremely helpful and informative. Thank you Pierre.

A Week in Paradise

Outstanding property. The bungalow was actually more than advertised. The owner was very helpful in resolving issues on the island such as rental car. The island is beautiful and the people friendly. We didnt want to leave.

Trip of a Lifetime

The overwater bungalow was perfect. Everything pictured and described on the web site was accurate. We loved our week at the bungalow. The location was good and we spent many hours out on the deck enjoying the beautiful water. Snorkeling right off the deck provided many beautiful fish and one day a huge moorea eel. A car was a must and Pierre was so nice as to guide us to car rental verses scooters. You will need a car to get to restaurants and store. We had several nice dinners out and even did some cooking, which the kitchen was set up for with everything we needed. Our favorite restaurant was St James which had amazing service and water views for dinner. They also have a bakery which we visited one morning for delicious croissants. Overall the four of us loved the bungalow and felt so fortunate to have the over water location for the week. Thanks Pierre

Bora Bora bungalow experience!

My daughter and I were blown away by how wonderful an over the water bungalow stay can be. It was the most beautiful setting and relaxed stay I have ever experienced. Altho we had a rental car and there were many excursions possible, we found that just staying in the bungalow itself was the main event. It was so lovely to be surrounded by the beautiful, clear turquoise waters! Tho we circled the island by car, what we loved the most was just spending time in the bungalow itself where we could swim, paddle, use our floaties, lounge on the front covered deck, spot colorul fish, and enjoy to the fullest the once in a lifetime ambiance of the bungalow itself!!

Paradise

Sitting on the deck and watching the sunrises and sunsets was so peaceful. The bungalow was very quiet and private. It was true to the pictures on vrbo. Pierre was very helpful. Our stay was even better then I expected. Too bad we have to leave today. We rented a car and it was easy to drive around the island. We spent several days going to Matira beach. We ate at snack matira which had good cheeseburgers. There is coral in front of there that we snorkeled in. We also ate at Bora Bora beach club. I loved the Mahi fish and chips. We also did two full day snorkel trips which I highly recommend. Many fish in the coral gardens and loved swimming with the eagle rays, manta rays and sharks. Trying to figure out when we can come back!! Thank you Pierra for sharing your home.

Perfect stay

This is one of only about six overwater bungalows on the main island. What a wonderful place. Nicely decorated and well appointed. The host couldn’t have been more helpful and responded quickly to any questions. Arriving at a new place can sometimes being confusing but Pierre provided enough detailed information and directions that we had no problems. There was great snorkeling and swimming right off the unit. We can’t say enough positive things about Villa Tahatai iti we would definitely return.

Great escape to this OWB

This house allowed us to experience an OWB at a reasonable price compared to the islands resorts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, including breakfast on the patio in the morning and stargazing at night (this end of the island is darker and makes for better viewing from the dock). I saw a sting ray in the water one morning from the kitchen window and it was such a treat to go outside to watch him while not even having to get wet. My mother, who is in her 80's, accompanied us and got to experience all of the fish viewing from a lounge chair on the dock without having to hassle with snorkel gear. Snorkeling clarity by the OWB is best in the morning before the boats pass by and churn up the water. The house itself was clean and comfortable-we particularly appreciated the high quality washer/dryer midway through our trip. All of the advice here about renting a car is well taken-it is essential as there is nothing nearby. Pierre was very responsive and pleasant to communicate with, and we would stay again in a heartbeat.

Amazing Bora Bora adventure

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bungalow. It felt larger than the pictures and the place is well kept and lovely! Nice original hard wood flooring. Well equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed the views from the balcony. We went kayaking daily and the snorkeling is good outside of the bungalow. We saw Eagle rays, stingray, barracuda, tangs, a turtle, triggers, trivali, angels, parrot fish and many more. Located in a lovely area. Pierre was quick to respond to questions and helpful. We really enjoyed our time at the lovely bungalow! Thank you for letting us have the opportunity to stay in your home. P.S bring him a license plate from your state!

Amazing Bora Bora

My wife and I spent 4 wonderful days at this beautiful bungalow. Accommodations were comfortable but we rarely left the water and swim dock. It is a scenic and quiet location away from the crowds of Viatape. We are already thinking of a return visit. Thank you Pierre.

A Dream Come True

My wife in particular had dreamed of visiting Bora Bora and staying at an “over the water” villa. It met her (and my) expectations. The best feature of the place was the covered deck on the front overlooking the water where we spent much of our time watching the boats go by. It was the greatest.
