About this property

Two Lake Cabins in Paradise

Come enjoy the Northwoods experience with gorgeous views, clear water, trees all around, fresh air and lake life. Our two, lake front cabins are on the Fence Lake Chain of 10 lakes which has some of the clearest water in Wisconsin.

Water lovers will enjoy the two John boats, two brand new Kayaks and canoe that are available to our guests. Our NO WAKE lake offers the confidence that you can kayak, float, canoe, fish, boat, swim, etc. without worry over fast boats or wave runners zipping by.

Other fun activities for the family include fishing, star gazing lying on the pier, grilling food while enjoying the air and view, nightly camp fires, a three mile walk around both Twin Placid lakes, going into Minocqua to enjoy the free ski show, etc. The views and sounds of morning by the lake is something you just have to experience. The water is so clear that fish are easily viewable even in 6 ft of water.

The lake around our shoreline is sandy bottom and mostly weed free so you can walk right in to the water from the shoreline or to make a big splash, feel free to dive right into the water off the pier as it is over 6 ft deep at the end of the pier. You can also fish right off the pier and can catch blue gill, large mouth bass, walleye or northern pike.

If you bring your own boat you will have multiple choices . The closest public boat launch is Gunlock Lake (Full recreation lake) and is located across the road and a few hundred feet from our driveway. Or if you want to bring your boat to our pier, the Public Fence Lake Boat Launch is two lakes away but connects via channels. These two boat launches are free. For $5.00 you can use the boat launch on Lake Minocqua.

Our wooded lot with pristine water and the air filled with the scent of pine trees will launch you into vacation mode from the moment you pull in our driveway. Come enjoy the Northwoods!!!

Quiet Lakes
We appreciated the quiet of no-wake lakes and the use of the 14’ boat. The bass fishermen had moderate luck - all largemouth. The 2-cabin arrangement wasn’t ideal - we would have preferred a single place with 2 bathrooms rather than being separated ok. The smaller cabin wasn’t as clean and wasn’t stocked with bath towels..

Paradise indeed!
Our family enjoyed the property immensely! We had a wonderful time swimming, boating, fishing, grilling out and hanging around the firepit each night. The lake house and cabin were very homey and comfortable.

Authentic Wisconsin Up North Stay!
Great stay with an authentic "up north" Wisconsin feel. We enjoyed the rustic old time Wisconsin cabin combined with the updated second home on premise. Spaces were clean and well stocked and suited the needs for our family/extended family vacation perfectly. This is a beautiful property on a quiet, pristine Wisconsin lake. Enjoy privacy on the lake with the convenience of being able to access busier and bigger water bodies via channels to the larger chain of lakes. Easy access to Minocqua, Lac du Flambeau, Boulder Junction and more! Steve was super easy to work with and is so quick to communicate with if you need him. Really, really great host!! Highly recommend!!

Wisconsin “Up North” Cabin!
Property was just as described. If you want the experience of a traditional “up north” Wisconsin stay, you can’t go wrong with this space. Beautiful, pristine lake and amazing star gazing at night in the north woods- all while listening to the loons on the lake. Visitors should nite that the smaller cabin is on the rustic side and most appropriate for able bodied adults. We used it mostly just for the extra bedroom space and then gathered in the larger cabin for fun and family time! Host was so easy to work with and accommodating of all our requests. He responded promptly to questions from us and was very easy to reach! Well tended property!
