About this property

Treetops Cabin easy to Asheville w/ Comfy King Suite, ❤ Views, fast wifi

Note: 4WD (or AWD) vehicle required to get up steep driveway, or it's a 1000' walk.
Get it all at Treetops Cabin: shut out the world while you nestle down inside this cozy log cabin, or go online with zippy wifi while you relax on decks with gorgeous mountain views. Just 30 min. to Asheville, the cabin provides quick access to hiking, rafting, skiing, shopping, and dining. Lots of room to relax, with an open-plan main floor and a large loft with TV. Three bedrooms and two baths plus super-comfortable sleeper sofa in the loft sleep 10. Come experience life in the treetops!

Set on 8 mountain acres, Treetops Cabin provides mountain views from the main and upper decks, with rockers, a swing, and a chair hammock on the main deck, and a soft sectional sofa on the upper deck.

Inside, the top floor features a large loft that looks out to the upper deck, with a sleeper sectional sofa, stocked game/puzzle table, 60" TV, and two easy chairs.

Just off the loft is the spacious master bedroom with a king bed, armchair, and small desk. Relax in the whirlpool soaking tub beneath the skylight in the en suite bathroom, which also has a walk-in shower.

The main floor features an open-plan living and dining space, with bay window, fireplace, sectional sofa, and comfy velvet armchairs. The dining table expands to seat large groups. Chat with your cook at the cooking island with new induction cooktop and four cushioned bar stools. Cooks will love the large, well-lit prep space in the well-stocked kitchen, with new dishwasher, new fridge, microwave, wall oven, plenty of dishes and serving pieces, slow cooker, blender, hand mixer, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, and French press.

Off the main living area, find one bedroom with queen bed and another with a bunk bed that sleeps four (twin over full with a twin trundle), plus a bath with tub-shower combo. All bedside lamps in the cabin include a USB port, and the rooms have plenty of outlets for all your electronics.

The basement is completely unfinished but does have a new washer and dryer and a bumper pool table and basketball arcade game.

Outdoors is a rustic firepit and room to explore.

Excellent internet with newly installed gigabit fiber!

--4WD/AWD REQUIRED. Treetops Cabin is up a steep gravel driveway (with parking/turnaround space at the top). Please ensure that your vehicle--SUV, truck, or raised sedan--has sufficient clearance; low-clearance vehicles without 4WD/AWD are not recommended. Here's video of the driveway (from a Subaru Forester): https://youtu.be/_t35uUwCxMc

--Travel Insurance recommended. No refunds will be given for storms, weather, or road conditions. We encourage you to purchase travel insurance to help protect your vacation investment against bad weather or illness!

--Because Treetops Cabin was built in 1991, its deck and loft railings have wider spacing than today's codes, so parents of toddlers should use caution.

Nearby, enjoy dining and coffee in Mars Hill (10-minute drive, also has the nearest full grocery store), Burnsville (15 minutes), Weaverville (20 minutes), and Asheville (30 minutes). Enjoy a wealth of outdoor activities--20 minutes to skiing at Wolf Ridge; hiking on the Appalachian Trail; tubing and rafting in Burnsville; and easy access to a host of waterfalls. Drive the famous Blue Ridge Parkway; explore the Burnsville quilt block trails; visit Little Switzerland (40 minutes); or learn a craft or admire others' work at the Penland School of Craft in Burnsville. That doesn't even touch on all there is to do in Asheville--you won't get bored in beautiful western North Carolina!

Wonderful stay!

Enjoyed our stay at tree top cabin! Cabin was clean, plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. Beds were very comfy! Spacious for our family of 9. If u had to list a “con” it would only be that it took us a while to make thanksgiving dinner due to the oven being pretty small. But we managed and everything turned out just fine! Communication with host was great, very easy to work with.

Amazing cabin - don't underestimate the driveway :)

It was an amazing stay. The cabin was beautiful, the beds comfy (I slept like a baby) and the accommodations plentiful. The cabin is huge as well. We pretty much stayed downstairs, but there is plenty to explore. One recommendation I have is to make sure you have 4WD or AWD vehicle. You won't make it up the driveway without it. Do yourself a favor and if you do not have a 4WD or AWD vehicle, rent a vehicle from enterprise or AVIS ahead of time (you can thank me later). I loved the cabin and hope to stay again sometime.

Lovely cabin

The cabin was well appointed for our family to spend NYE. It has the secluded mountain feel but is right off of a main road and super convenient to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. James was very responsive for any questions that we had leading up to the trip and everything was seemless when we arrived. The hosts definitely put a lot of thought and care into their rental. The driveway is gravel and a bit steep as noted in the listing but no one in our party had any trouble as we have AWD and the weather was nice.

Christmas Cabin

Our family gathered for a beautiful Christmas weekend in a gorgeous log cabin. Every detail was considered by our hosts before we arrived. The home and setting are both breathtaking. There was no reason to leave. We may have found a new tradition in our family.
