The cottage is very comfortable and well-appointed. It has a lovely back deck with views of the water and a very comfortable seating area. The hosts are thoughtful in providing many comforts of home. We had a lovely time going down to Newport and then returning to this cozy cottage. We will happily return!
clean and well equipped/outfitted. forget your iPhone plug? hosts have it covered. hosts have paid close attention to details - making our four-day, get-away stay comfortable, relaxing and very enjoyable!
Nice bungalow right on the bay. Loved the ability to swim and enjoy the small covered back deck. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen and Weber grill allowed meal preparation. Upstairs bedroom was comfortable and stairs down to the first floor bathroom were well lit. A/C worked great on a hot summer weekend.
This waterfront cottage is adorable, has a lot of nice little touches (including an outdoor shower) and best of all, a beautiful view, water access and nice location. Would definitely rent again.
The cottage was everything we were looking for. Close proximity to casual dining but, if you choose to prepare meals, an outside eating area with a water view.
Wayne was very helpful suggesting points of interest.
My wife and I stayed here recently and loved the location . The house is right on the bay which is great for paddling and swimming. You're very close to all the beaches and other things Aquidneck has to offer. Wayne was great to deal with and wants to make sure you have everything you need. Would recommend and we'll be back!
This adorable cottage on the cove was ideal for a peaceful weeklong getaway for two. Well equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated, it’s an ideal spot to enjoy kayaking and swimming right outside your door. We enjoyed coffee and cocktails on the deck and sunning in the yard with its beautiful water views. We found the area to be quiet yet conveniently located within walking distance to a number of restaurants. We also appreciated the easy access to some great biking routes and the reasonably short drive to Newport. Wayne and Sherry were perfect hosts, friendly, helpful and respectful of our privacy.
Nicely decorated, new supplies, and private feeling cottage, deck and yard. Perfect and romantic for two. Kayaking was great and the location was close to everything.
A little too much lighting in the back yard. The only negative.!!

Wayne and Sherry Gibson are retired hospitality professionals sharing their island life style with adventurous travelers. We embrace social diversity and live a very active lifestyle, focused on eco-tourism and being on or in the water whenever we can. Kayaking, windsurfing, surfing, cycling, motorcycle touring, boating and sailing top our lists of pursuits. In season, Narragansett Bay has some of the best Striper fishing in the North East. Aruba is our favorite get away spot. As a retired Executive Chef, arrangements can be made for a special dinner, culinary class get-aways or small celebration for two right here at our cottage!
Why they chose this property
We love this property's location on the protected cove. We discovered it when we were moving our boat out of the way of a hurricane. Once we found our storm hole, we realized how perfect the spot was. After a brief search, we found this beautiful little cottage for sale and decided to add it to our portfolio. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
Easy kayak and paddle board launch on a still water cove just steps from the back door is a pretty unique benefit! Make sure you bring your water shoes or paddling sandals.
