Very Disappointing

My family and I were very much looking forward to our stay at this property. We’ve had yearly family reunions and have generally had good experiences with our vacation rentals. This property is in a beautiful location and looks lovely from the outside. It is very disappointing and difficult for me to give such a negative review. I hope that it is helpful for the owners, property managers, and potential future renters. I am breaking my feedback up into different categories. The bottom line is that the location is beautiful and has tremendous potential; but the property and guests are being neglected. At the price being charged, this is entirely unacceptable. Not Properly Cleaned: The areas under the beds were dirty. Popcorn was on floor under the kitchen table. The bedding on a trundle bed on 2nd floor had hairs on the bedspread. There were dirty dishes in cabinets. Under the sink upstairs is dirty. There were bags of dog poop in the yard. The toilet in the downstairs bedroom had uncleaned BM. There was grease on the kitchen stove. Foul-smelling trash outside from previous guests was there to greet us on Monday and stayed there until Wednesday evening. Things Didn’t Work: The 2nd floor balcony was blocked due to a broken shade. There is a shade missing from a bedroom door. A door is chipped near a lock. The electric button for the garage door on the 2nd floor did not work. No lights work in the loft on south side of house. Landscape Neglected: The path from the street to the yard is overgrown making the path unusable. Weeds are all around the property and in the main lawn. Weeds are very close to fire pit making it unpleasant to use, so we didn’t use it. Follow Through and Communication: The dog poop in the yard was never cleaned. I was initially told that a service called “Can Monkey” would take the trash bin to the curb on Wednesday evening for Waste Management pick-up on Thursday morning. Neither the remote team nor the local management team would tell me when they were coming on Wednesday. After I asked again when the service was coming, I was told by the remote management team that we would have to move the trash to the curb ourselves. This would have required us to move the overflowing bin, with previous guests’ trash, down a long, steep driveway and up an inclined street to the curb. I estimate this to be between 150 to 200 feet. Eventually someone did move the trash Wednesday evening, but no-one communicated to me again that this was going to happen. Positives: The location is beautiful. The sunsets are especially beautiful. In response to my initial feedback, someone came to clean the toilet in the downstairs bathroom and wipe down the stove top.

Great location, needs upgrades and many fixes

Location was great, great views. Was the only house sized large enough for our guests. Kitchen stove was in an unsafe condition, igniter was stuck on at times and some of the burners did not work or ignite. Oven was very dirty and smoked when turned on. We ended up having to cook at another home. Plenty of plates and silverware glasses and cups. But cookware was old and in poor condition. Many of the light switches did not seem to control things. Better labeling.could have helped. Many of the exterior doors were very difficult to open due to settling and use. Many window blinds were not working or broken all together. Missing blinds in the master bedroom as well as its exterior door would not open. There were large weeds growing in the courtyard area just gave it a run down look.Garage door leading to courtyard was non functional and was off the track. There were 2 tvs one in the front room was very small and not ideal for a large room. The second was in the master was only 19" and just as bad not even plugged in or setup. This property has great potential but definitely should not have been allowed to be put on VRBO until its truly ready. Recommend AC for a house this size and potential it should have it. It wasn't super warm but AC would have been nice. Upgrade the kitchen appliances. Swap old lights with better LED lights, fix all blinds, and doors. Replace TVs with larger updated ones.. Add one to each room. Vacasa dropped the ball on this one, do better VACASA

Great stay in Paradise

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The kitchen was well appointed. The house was clean snd well kept. The master bed was very comfortable. The view of the waterfront and watching the boats go by was an added bonus. I highly recommend this home, cozy yet open floor plan.

Beautiful waterfront location

Lovely waterfront location ( fabulous sunset views) with ample outdoor seating. All bedrooms/lofts except one have waterfront views. The kitchen is well stocked, will recommend the nonstick set to be replaced . They were scratched and worn out. This property has so much potential to be luxurious if only it can be better maintained. The bathrooms and closets can definitely use some deep cleaning.

Beautiful Property and Home, a little neglected

This was an incredible experience on such a lovely piece of land. The house was located right on the water and had plenty of space for our group. The only hiccup was the house was pretty dirty and there were a few broken/missing things. It looked like there was a party for 4th of July the week before our trip and the guests had a lot of fun. :) Lots of dust on high services, windows and under the beds. If you have dust allergies, I recommend you take medication before staying. Many of the windows were missing blinds, not allowing you to keep the sun out of your face early in the morning. Although it was amazing waking up to the water view. Doors and windows in a few areas were jammed so you couldn't open them to get fresh air and it sounds like the garage door off the top deck was about to break down. Don't get me wrong, with all of these little things, it did not bother us enough to not stay or book again in the future.

Perfect location on Camano Island!

The location of the property is absolutely amazing! Very nice yard for kids to play and for everyone to hang out. Comfortable beds which is always important to us. A few smaller things to consider: There are only 2 actual bedrooms with privacy. All the other beds are located in open areas without privacy and open to the main living area and kitchen. *Definitely something to consider with kids or anyone trying to sleep while others are awake. The home is not equipped very well if you are looking to cook/bake. I suggest bringing any pans, baking sheets, and cooking utensils you may need to prepare your food. Overall, we loved this property. Can’t beat the location!

Wonderful Views!!

This home was very clean with excellent beds and linens. The kitchen is huge but the pots and pans are limited and seem to have been purchased from the local thrift shop. Plenty of wine and tall glasses. We found one short glass for our cocktails. I was excited to see a salad spinner but only two parts were in the drawer. The furniture is limited. With this amount of space it would have been lovely to have some more chairs on the higher levels to enjoy the view. The lower level bedrooms are the only private rooms. I was nervous to have someone sleep on the higher levels with the step ladders. Overall I would call this a 3 bedroom home with additional sleeping in lofts. The weather was too cold to use the Kayak, firepit and outdoor furniture.
