Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Good location

The place was easy to locate with parking in the back. Lots of places to eat and shop in walking distance. Not super teen friendly but we did find ice-cream parlors.

Cute place but lots of construction noise

Cute place, comfortable beds, fun neighborhood! Unfortunately the construction behind the home and in the street is noisy. We were glad we had ear plugs and head phones to sleep with.

Charleston VRBO

This was a great place to stay! It was within walking distance of great restaurants and excursions. Very clean and comfortable. I will say that we only had 2 teaspoons for 5 people so we had to take turns eating breakfast. The picture shows a Kuerig on the countertop, but when we arrived there was no Kuerig, just a regular coffemaker. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable place to stay.

Great girls weekend !

This was the perfect place to stay for a girls weekend with friends . Only complaints was the bathroom had a terrible smell. (Possibly sewer gas.) And we we driving a Yukon Denali and the parking is VERY a tight. But the home itself was clean and had lots of character . Great location.

Perfect location

The flat is conveniently located, walking distance to all downtown museums, shops, attractions, restaurants, etc. and also very easy to locate and arrive by car. With parking! It’s a characteristic Charleston layout, so entertaining to experience a piece of historical living. Situated next to Baguette Magic for a morning cappuccino and croissant! Very efficient checkin and checkout, with all the information needed.

Good base for exploring Charleston

Easy check in, overall quite clean! Lots of stairs and uneven floors, so not ideal if you have mobility challenges or if you have to haul a ton of stuff. Worked great for what we needed!

Beautiful and comfortable home.

The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished and decorated. There were 3 of us so we had extra room. The area is convenient and had only the expected city noises. As a response to some other reviews, it is an old home and the quirks are part of the charm. On a Sunday-Tuesday in October the neighbourhood was relatively quiet. The bakery next door was closed but we found a place just around the corner to pickup breakfast to have on the porch and enjoyed dinner at a French restaurant across the street. We did not cook but we're glad to have a kitchen for snacks and sandwiches and such. One note is-The coffee pot was updated from a drip to a K-cup. So bring pods.

Cute house in a great location

The flat is very comfortable and updated. Easy walk to upper King Street, bars, restaurants and shops. Coffee cafe next door. Plan on an Uber to the French Quarter area. Overall it was a great stay for our sister in law getaway weekend.

Clean and comfortable! We had a great time.

The house is clean. A little noisy in the neighborhood at night, but that’s to be expected. Property manager answered right away when we had questions.

We came over spring break to tour College of Charleston. The house was perfect for our family of 6. We had plenty of space and the house was in a fantastic location, close to everything!

Not a senior friendly unit

If you are over age 60 this may not be the place for you. There are stairs to get to the unit and once in there are stairs to go to the other 2 bedrooms.. All bathrooms are on the bottom floor. One of which is tiny and has no plugs and has three steps into the bathroom. The unit is very noisy with street noise. Bring ear plugs.

Review on Condo at Spring Street

This condo was an upstairs unit and was really cute. The layout was unique and the unit was clean. Traffic noise was loud from the front bedrooms but using fans did help block out some of the street noise.

Fabulous Family Location

I planned a surprise beach sleepover for my daughters birthday. The location was PERFECT - 20 min to Folly Beach - Pizza and Jenni’s IceCream within walking distance. The location was quiet and had enough sleeping locations for all. The only issue we had is it would have been great to have more blankets but that is something we could bring next time. (They may have had more in a closet somewhere but we just crashed after a long day at the beach!) Would totally recommend this location for any family looking to get away - Great stay - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Historic home in historic neighborhood

We stayed one night here and really enjoyed the property. We had 4 small kids and 4 adults and stayed comfortably. The only challenge was they only have 1 parking spot per rental and we had 2 cars. My parents ended up parking down the street but we were able to shuttle them back to the house in our car.

Cute little slice of Charleston nestled on Spring Street - great walking to King St & other great locations. Awesome that the property comes with a parking space if needed. Process was smooth & easy! Truly enjoyed our stay.

Great location and cool property

Traveling with family over the holidays and this was a fun place to stay. Only complaints concerned parking and shower temperature. No reason there should be a limitation of one parking spot. There are about 25 other spaces not ever used. Shower water temp fluctuates too and would be scalding. Otherwise, really nice place.

Noisy!

This unit was so disappointing. 1. There are several areas where the floor slopes inside and all doorways have a raised threshold. My step-dad tripped twice. He is 62 2. Every bed had a headboard that was very loose, not attached or broken. Upstairs bedrooms have very very low ceilings. My husband hit his head every morning. We gave my parents the downstairs bed. 4. Was told there was an air mattress at the unit. There where no sheets, blankets or pillows to go on it. My son got leave from the Citadel and had to sleep on the couch with nothing. He is a senior, not a knob. He has paid his dues. 3. Dining area is off the bathroom. You can't sit and have anyone walk by. 4. No fans in the bathrooms. 5. No electrical outlets in bathrooms. You have to do your hair in the living room. No mirrors in any bedroom. 6. I live in LA. I mention that to let you know I have a high tolerance for noise. The noise from the street was unbelievably loud and there where no noise machines to be found. Mostly loud adults coming back from the bars. The trucks and motorcycles ran all night long. FYI There is a small restaurant/bar next door. 7. Rentals all around you. Loud music, yelling etc till almost 2am Friday and Sat. night. The cops came twice. I didnt call them. 8. We ran out of toilet paper Sat. there was none in the house. Had to go buy some. Seriously 9. The gas lamp outside wasnt lit. The fumes made sitting on the porch unpleasant to say the least. I called about it. She said she would send someone out. They never came. When we left Monday early because of the jackhammering the lamp was still not lit. Point: Company's, business and families are notified by mail when there is going to be work in the area. Its the law. The Jackhammering started at 9am Monday and we gave up by 10:30am and just went to the airport. Had to be out by 11. Terrible ending. The only terrible stay I have ever had. PS only 3 forks and if you are cooking at the stove, you have to move to let someone come into the kitchen
