We live on the NC coast and getting to go to the Mtns is a real treat and this home did not disappoint. From its central location to The Jefferson's and Boone to its open floor plan and wood burning stove. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

My Husband and I and my Sister and her Husband stayed for a long weekend. Had a great time. The cottage was very neat and clean. Thanks for a great weekend.
This quaint little cabin has everything you need for a weekend getaway in the quiet mountains near West Jefferson....Clean and bright with all the amenities needed
and the creek kept our grand-daughter amused through the weekend...Solo fire pit is an added bonus..love those stoves.....thoroughly enjoyed the long weekend stay....thanks.....
Our family of five loved our stay! When we walked in the door there was an overwhelming feeling of comfort. The host really had thought of everything to make our stay fabulous! We are looking forward to planning a return trip!
This was our 8th stay in the Fleetwood area . We have also stayed in VRBO all over the country, from Fl to CA, to Oh.
This was one cleanest and most stylishly decorated. Plus the decks and landscaping are great.
However, I would not advertise wheelchair accessible
We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend here with our pups! It was a great private location but was very close to Boone. Theresa was sweet enough to leave us a generous welcome basket. We look forward to coming back. It was perfect for our little family.

Went up for App State football and basketball game with my son. It was very enjoyable and relaxing. Although secluded, it is very convenient to Boone and Jefferson. Teresa (Host) was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We look forward to going back!
Such a cute cozy cabin! My husband, 3 kids and I spent Christmas week here. Private, had everything we needed. The owner even had a welcome basket ready with extra necessities. I loved having a washer and dryer so we didn’t bring home tons of dirty laundry.
This is a marvelous place for a relaxing getaway near West Jeffersonville, N.C a darling little town with fun shops and an interesting cheese making and honey making history. House beautifully equipped with any "Forgotten Items". Very clean with lovely working appliances and dishwater. Highly recommend.
Cozy cabin, nestled in the woods. Felt like a true mountain get away. Tastefully decorated. Felt very welcoming with basket of goodies! Liked the instructions as well as the information book containing local food and attractions. Great communication and overall a wonderful experience.
We stayed here two nights for our anniversary and couldn’t have found a better spot. Took a fur baby with us. The place is sparkling clean, tucked away on beautiful land. If it has rained recently, you will need 4wd. Nice linens and towels. Everything is well stocked. Very, very charming! Private, yet not far from West Jefferson. Easy to get to Todd, Boone, Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed it! Perfect for a family and Teresa is an angel!!
We enjoyed our stay. We used all the fire wood provided but we're unable to leave to get more because of the steep driveway. We burned the wood stove for 12 hrs a day for 3.5 days which was very nice. The kitchen water froze for 3 days because of the weather. The stairs were an issue for us because of our age.
But the cabin was beautiful, nicely appointed and comfortable for us and our fur baby.
This little cottage is adorable and very private. The driveway is somewhat steep so a 4x4 may be a good idea if there is snow but we had no problem in our 4Runner. Teresa makes sure the kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary items one would need to cook a nice meal. Dinnerware, pot and pans etc were all really nice quality. The wood stove adds a cozy touch to the place if it's chilly outside.
I kept in touch with Teresa during our stay. She was extremely responsive and it's obvious she wants her guests to be comfortable and happy. I accidentally left an article of clothing at the rental and she is kind enough to take time out of her day to ship it back to me which is very appreciated.
Overall, I highly recommend this place. It's comfy, cozy, private and really cute. Also, only 15 minutes from the adorable town of West Jefferson.

This was a Very clean, well-stocked cottage. They thought of most everything you might need. We could tell they were trying hard for a good experience. If it were our cottage, we would move the King bed downstairs near the bathroom. As it is there is a single downstairs and king upstairs. The steps have triangle steps at the turn instead of a landing, which were not friendly in early morning. Even though there are only woods around, the upstairs did not feel private. It would be easier to make the downstairs private since the blinds are up on TV room and bathroom. There were no other blinds. Rugs would help in some areas. Icemaker wasn't working for us but trays were available. A downstairs full length mirror and vanity would be nice. If you need to get up in the night, this is probably not best choice as it currently is configured. The cottage was very close to events we were in town for, so that was awesome.

About the host
Hosted by Teresa Simmons
We purchased this home to have a place to stay when visiting our daughter and son-n-law in Fleetwood. The home had been remodeled inside and we have done lots of work on the outside to add to it's appeal. We take pride in keeping it clean and neat and are happy to share our home with others.
Why they chose this property
This home is perfectly situated between Boone, West Jefferson, the New River, and the Parkway. Whether you come for kayaking on the New River, eating at Daniel Boone Inn, skiing on the mountain, or enjoying a cold drink in down town West Jefferson, there's alway something to do. This home is in the middle of everything. Cleanliness is also important to us for our guest as well as our family.
What makes this property unique
The home is situated on a mountain and is private with a great deck. There are 6 acres with the property and a nice running creek at the bottom of the property. There's a great place to sit near the creek and listen to the running water.
