About this property

Entry hall with closet and washer/dryer. Leading to the kitchen (fully stocked) and pantry. Opening up to the living room and dining area. The windows and sliding door to the porch overlook the spring fed pond with koi fish and the mountain view. You’ll also see my horse barn(future chicken coop for fresh eggs) and the orchard I’m growing. The living room has a daybed with a pull out trundle bed offering two twin beds with memory foam mattresses. Smart TV mounted and a very strong wifi signal. Bathroom is located upstairs and is fully stocked. Upstairs bedroom has a king size bed and walk-in closet. There is a gas grill on the porch and a fire pit on the property as well. Private parking. Minutes from all the shops and restaurants in town and only a short drive to Bromley and Stratton ski resorts. No cleaning fees or pet fees.

Amazing stay !!

Everything was perfect!! The place, the grounds, the cabin, the host. Lots to see and do. Just an overall amazing mini vacation 3 days, 2 nights, mid week. Already looking into returning next year for my birthday as well!!

Great location

We had a great time, very cute house and the property is beautiful, stones throw to great hiking trails and shops in Manchester. Justin was so easy to communicate with us and we’ll definitely be back!

Great location!

We had a great stay with our pup for a late ski season weekend! The house was clean, well-stocked, and very cozy. The location was beautiful and perfectly situated a few minutes away from everything you could want to do in Manchester. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Stay

We can't say enough nice things about Jeremy. He was a fantastic host. His communication was great, he stocked the fridge and provided snacks, and had a plethora of local to-dos and suggestions waiting for us when we arrived. The location of the house was great, only 5 minutes from the center of Manchester. We couldn't as for anything more from our stay.

Great spot

My boyfriend and I used to live in the area and rented the house to celebrate christmas with his daughters that still live locally. This was a great spot! Located just far enough outside of the town that its away from the busy, but close enough to be convenient. A very short drive to the Equinox trail systems was great for myself and my dog, too. The place was fully stocked with the necessities, which was a great pleasure. Overall I'd say it's more than perfect as a couples getaway, but nice for a family too. Thank you so much for the stay!

comfortable and very well supplied small house with a pond

we very enjoyed our thanksgiving break stay at jeremy's guest house. the house was very comfortable for two people and our pets. jeremy left a lot of goodies so that we didn't have to run out and get groceries rightaway; that was so helpful and definitely something that i have not experienced at other short term rental homes. the pond is lovely with beautiful fish in it (the network of wires over the pond is most impressive!). thank you so much jeremy, and we will surely be back.

Wondeful host with a wonderful guest home

Jeremy was very accommodating for our brief last minute stay, when we needed to bring our dog with us last minute while attending our friends wedding. The house was pristine, the scenery wonderful. And we had all the privacy we needed. Cannot recommend another home more highly should you need intimate accommodations in the Manchester VT area. Thanks Jeremy!

The PERFECT place!

My husband and I just got married and wanted a place to get away with our dogs to rest and recharge. Jeremy did an amazing job stocking up the house with all of the essentials that you use at your own house. In the fridge were all the breakfast items you need and everything was very clean! It was also a cool experience to see koi fish and be able to feed them. The best way to describe this place is that it feels like you're going away to your own vacation home! We will definitely come back :-)

Best overall place to stay in Manchester

Been coming to Manchester for 35+ years, and this is the best place we've stayed, based on location, the place itself, price, view, comfort, amenities, and owner interaction. The place was immaculate and fully stocked, and watching the sun come up over the mountain and koi pond while enjoying a coffee on the deck was alone worth the rental. Its a perfect place for 2 people and a child or dog, and is just down the street from The Equinox Hotel. And Jeremy saw to our every need. This is now our go to rental in VT!

Perfect couples getaway!

We had a great stay at Jeremy’s place for a local wedding! It is a cute little a-frame with a small kitchen, living room and large loft bedroom - perfect for a couples getaway! The views of the pond, field and mountains in the background from your porch and the Adirondack chairs on the pond are just beautiful. He goes above and beyond with snacks and breakfast items all waiting for you as well as a smart TV, great wifi and comfy pillows/bed. One of the best stocked places I’ve stayed! We didn’t meet Jeremy himself because he gives you your space unless you need him but he was available via message for any/all questions. Overall, 5 stars and would 100% stay again.

It was just as we expected and very relaxing. Jeremy was great work with and took care of every little detail. He gave us some great recommendations for places to visit and eat at. I’ve never seen a rental property so we’ll stocked in the kitchen. We will one back again someday

A quick VT getaway

This was our first experience with VRBO and it was such a wonderful experience! We traveled from NJ to VT for a long weekend. The propery and amenities are exactly as listed. This home is the cutest little brown house! It is so close to downtown manchester, greeen mountain, stratton resort and not to mention a ton of hiking trails! My daughter took advantage of the koi pond in the back yard and loved to feed them. Jeremy always made sure the fish food was full for my daughter, which i thought was incredibly sweet. The house was very cleaned and fully stocked with things one would need to scope out the area. I cannot say anytbing negative. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jeremy for making our weekend a very memorable experience! 💚

Very Relaxing!

Had a great stay—very relaxing. Checked all the boxes for VRBO property for me—super clean, great bed/bedding/towels, spectacular view, well stocked including food, very communicative host, close to town, strong wifi. Stayed with my dog Luna. Her favorite part was swimming in the pond and feeding the koi fish. This is just what I needed to rest and recharge. Hope to return next year!

Fabulous location, felt right at home

Loved our stay. All the small touches from cut flowers to snacks made us feel welcome and valued. Loved the area, great dining, hiking, shopping, all made better by a comfortable home base with a great Mountain View and delightful KOA Pond. Start your day drinking provided organic coffee and feeding the KOA. We will be back. Internet was great, our host most gracious.

10/10 we loved it

We stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute of it. The house is wonderful. There is such a calm vibe there because of the cozy home, the koi pond, his garden, and the mountains. The home came fully stocked with snacks, and other essentials. The home is in a great location, quiet yet just minutes from town. Jeremy is a very kind person and an incredible host, here’s a quick story: we wanted to use the grill but we were having some trouble with it. Jeremy came to help but noticed it was getting old and not working as well as it used to… so Jeremy bought a new grill and installed it the next morning! We really felt at home for our short stay. We hope to come back again. Thank you Jeremy.

Relaxing

We had the best time at this property. We, including our dog, could have sat and just stared at the pond all day and night. Jermey was an excellent host. We had everything we needed including snacks. The house was very comfortable and clean. We miss it already and would definitely book again.

Rainy summer getaway

Jeremy has this hosting thing covered. My boyfriend and our dog visited for a long weekend that ended up being pretty rainy. Every streaming service we could think of was loaded on the tv and there were even some board games. Chances are if you forgot something, it’s probably in the cabin. My dog loved the koi pond and feeding them when it wasn’t rainy was a joy. Bed was comfy, water pressure was decent. No complaints!

Great Cottage for a Weekend Getaway

My wife and I stayed at the Brown's cottage on a short weekend getaway. I think Jeremy had done just about everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of choices for breakfast and little goodies if we just wanted a little snack. He had lots of information about things to do and a comprehensive list of restaurants around Manchester available. We slept like logs on the super comfy king size bed. But I think the koi pond was by far my wife’s favorite part of our stay. She loved sitting out next to the pond reading and feeding the koi. Thanks, Jeremy, for the refill on the jar of fish food. We would not hesitate to stay here again when we need another getaway.

Long Weekend Getaway

We booked the “little brown house” for a long weekend get away. IT WAS AMAZING. It was so peaceful. The view from the dock overlooking the koi pond is breath taking. The house it self has everything you need! Jeremy stocked the kitchen with breakfast foods, fruits, and has the perfect mixture of grab and go snacks (perfect for bringing on a hike on the surrounding trails). The bathroom had everything needed; shampoo, conditioner, body wash and much more. During our first night we had slight issues with the AC, but we reached out to Jeremy and he responded right away even offering to go out and buy a brand new one that day if it continued to act up. During our stay; we met Jeremy and his pup Dakota. They were very pleasant and gave us no issues at all, we only crossed paths twice in our 4 day stay. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!

Complete misrepresentation

Our stay was a NIGHTMARE!!!!!. This little house with the beautiful private koi pond?. Every outdoor photo shows this house with serene privacy. When we pulled in we thought we were at the wrong place because RIGHT NEXT DOOR, no more than 20 yards away, is this MUCH LARGER house, where the owner/host lives. There is NO privacy whatsoever. We arrived Sunday, late afternoon . Monday, late morning, we see a man and two children playing in the yard. We went out for a while, and when we came back there were now a half dozen adults out in the yard, loud yelling, arguments, laughter, cigarette smoking. ZERO serene nature, ZERO privacy. We left and stayed away for several hours, as there was NO desire to be in that space. I texted Jeremy Brown, the host/owner, telling him how disappointed I was. When we came back home, he asked me if I had a problem with a man being with his children.I said "absolutely not", but that I DID have a problem with his misrepresentation of the house. Why not even ONE photo showing his larger house right on top of the vacation house?.He started yelling at me, and one of his male friends or family members got in my face and threatened bodily harm upon me. We packed our stuff and left after one night only, of the three nights we originally booked. Jeremy told me he would refund two-thirds of our money if I did NOT post a review. If you don't mind sharing the outdoor space with a loud, raucous, vulgar group of people, go ahead . Serene nature? .Not a chance!!!
