About this property

Pikake - West Maui Beachfront Condo! 20 Feet from the Ocean!

This West Maui beach condo is located on the ground floor of a 2 story building with only 12 units in the quiet area of Honokowai.
At ground level a mere 20 feet from the sea shore with a wide ocean view presenting the islands of Lana'i and Molokai and spectacular sunsets.

The condo includes a fully equipped kitchen and an outside shared propane barbecue for your convenience.
There are ceiling fans in the bedroom, living room and lanai. Front and back of the condo has screens that can be opened to allow breezes to pass through. Between the fans and the natural breezes from the ocean and mountains behind the condo is usually kept very airy. If needed there is also a portable floor fan inside the condo.

There are stairs located in steps from the condo which will take you to a small sandy beach. (The amount of sand varies according to the season.) The beach is good for swimming, snorkelling or just enjoying the surf.

A Times Market is a short walk from the condo and a farmer's market and fish market are also available within walking distance. Lahaina is a short drive (approximately 15 minutes ) away with all kinds of shopping facilities and restaurants.

Kaanapali Beach is between Honokowai and Lahaina and also provides opportunities for shopping, restaurants, swimming or walking the beach walk.

Wake up to the ocean

If waking up and going to sleep right next the ocean is important to you, this place hits the spot. Gorgeous view of Molokai right from your lanai as you have your morning coffee. The turtles love this area too.

Great view- paper thin walls

Beautiful spot, upstairs neighbor noisy all night every night until around 3am Construction going on all week on both units either side of us. No warning. Anther big concern is the code to enter doesn’t change and there is no other way to lock the door. Also, the only laundry is communal and coin operated

We keep coming here multi years. This is just the best place to stories right on the water. Great walking close to the grocery stores. Unfortunately they have from Store is closing but hopefully will reopen with the new owners? Anyway awesome spot. I hesitate telling too many people about it cause I wanna be able to come back every year, but I also want others to be able to enjoy this amazing spot

Loved it!

Overall this property is what made us love our stay in maui and what was most memorable. Having the beach right in ones backyard was so memorable. The place could have been a bit cleaner but other than that it was the perfect spot.

Perfect Maui spot

After a few long days in Hana, we were exhausted and looking forward to relaxing. Directions were great, as we opened the door we looked straight ahead to the ocean. Gorgeous views and lots of turtles and whales to watch. Everything is clean and comfortable. Lots of places within walking distance. We'll be happy to return. Thank you Janet and Scott for the great retreat spot.

Amazing Stay

Property is just as described. Very easy ck in process. Everything I needed was here for the stay. Lots of beach towels available! Clean property and exactly what I needed for my "get away". I will definitely stay again if I am so blessed to do so. Property owners were awesome and easy to get a hold of. Prompt replies to any questions I had.

3-day Beachfront Honokowai

Rustic, natural property, well-located near Kaanapali & Napoli-Kapalua activities & dining. Suited for max 2adults, excellent choice due to ground floor, convenient parking, lanai to grass to steps to sand on west facing beach. Views are stunning, breeze flows thru unit, tortoises visit frequently too, as described.

Some Kind of Wonderful

A great place, perfect size for two. Perfectly situated. Condo was very clean and comfortable, well stocked kitchen, beach gear and towels, ok bed. Bathroom a bit dated, but shower was great. Comfortable outside table and chairs facing the ocean, with Molokai and Lanai islands to view. The beach couldn't be better, just a few steps away to blue heaven and swimming with sea turtles. Nice grassy area with shared lounge chairs, beautiful foliage including plumeria and visiting birds. The neighborhood was great, right next to a park, Farmer's Market store, coffee shop. Also, an amazing Congregational Church with Sunday service in Hawaiian and English and ukulele. There is so much to do on Maui, but I really liked just staying at this spot the best. Was absolutely a wonderful experience, dreaming of going back.

The. rental process was quick and easy. The rental property was as advertised. The beach was only fifty yards from the back door. The surrounding area was clean and beautiful. There is a small store within walking distance and a larger shopping area within a mile. We had a pleasant visit.

Truly wonderful location right on a beach

Very happy with our stay. The condo is a bit dated but you won't care when you are looking at the ocean all day. There is no A/C which could be an issue in hotter months. We were there end of March and the breeze at night kept us cool and comfortable. The bed should be updated soon, but otherwise we were more than happy. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We Love the Pikake!!

We have stayed at this property before but in a different unit. The proximity to the private beach (20’ from the lanai), is unmatched by any other vacation rentals (that we have found). This area is also prime for snorkeling as the rock formations act as a breaker for waves and allow for calm clear water everyday. During this time of year it is almost a guarantee that you will see whale and turtle activity daily. The unit offers beach towels and plenty of gear for use. There are countless places to eat and a small market near by for stocking the fridge and pantry. We will definitely stay at the Pikake again in the future.

This was my husband's and mine first trip to Hawaii and we could not have asked for a better experience! The condo is beautiful, well equipped, and best of all, right on the beach. Nothing better than falling asleep to the waves! And the owners were extremely nice!

Great Stay

The condo offered the perfect amount of space for our family of four. The views and access to the beach were incredible. It had everything you might need for your stay in Maui and was close to everything. It was nice to hear the ocean waves at night.
