I'll start by commenting on the property. I am a claims adjuster and was working damage from Hurricane Ian. The duplex had plenty of room and a large desk for completing my work. The screened in lanai offered a nice space to relax after a long day. I was there for almost two months, and it felt like home almost immediately. Having a garage with a washer and dryer to use was also a nice bonus. There was a grocery store within eyeshot, and more food and grocery options just down the road.
The owner was absolutely fantastic. When the power hadn't been restored by my check in date, he sacrificed his property in Sarasota for me to stay in for several days until it was restored. However, the internet did not come back with the power and there was no timeline on getting it back on. Knowing internet access was crucial to by business, the owner purchased a hotspot device and cellular plan just so I could work. Finally, I ordered a Christmas gift to be delivered to the property not realizing it would literally be shipped on a slow boat from China. The package arrived several days after I had returned home and the owner graciously shipped it to me and refused to let me reimburse him.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience, even in the aftermath of a major hurricane. If I ever find myself in this area again, I will definitely be contacting this owner.
