Really happy with the layout of the house and the amenities. Owner was very responsive when I had questions. The only reason it's a 4 vs a 5 star is due to the Gilligan's Island decoration in the back yard. We made the best of it but I wish we had been told it was there.
This house was one of the nicer homes we've ever rented! The pictures are accurate but you have to be there to feel how welcoming this house truly is. The owner was proactive on providing the list of check in and check out processes. The house was extremely clean and well stocked with everything that we needed during our stay. It's close to excellent restaurants and activities. Master bedroom bed was extremely comfortable. I loved the pool which was at the perfect temperature. My husband was so impressed with this house that it was hard to get him to leave. I would without hesitation rent this home again if it was available. Thank YOU!
When the 4 of us arrived, we encountered a few problems. The refrigerator ice and water didn't work. We texted the owner and he told us there was a ice maker on the counter and that the house water was potable. We used the ice maker and used water from the faucet. Everything worked well. The house was spacious and comfortable. It was cold while we were there, the pool was not used. The location is close to groceries, restaurants. Important-- the bathrooms had no hair dryersor soap or shampoo. Even with these problems we would return here again. We had a great time.
This is a nice rental in a safe sector of the Cape. It is close to all goods, services, etc.. The owner was extremely attentive. There was a minor electrical issue which he had repaired the same day I phoned him and he was away on a cruise at the time! The only small negative was that he could stand to buy a new grill. My wife says there are actually not 3 king beds, rather, 2 kings and 1 queen. We would stay there again and his charge was quite competitive.
Although heading says 3 BR, in numerous places of listing it refers to 4 BRs and even pics show a 4th BR, stating it sleeps 8. There is no 4th BR. There are only 3 beds and no pullout couch bed, so it only sleeps 6 (We had to have 2 teens sleep on the couches). Also, contrary to the listing that shows a pool covering and a nice dock, there is neither. Ceiling fan in covered portion of pool patio did not work. Listing descriptions and pics need to be corrected since they are highly deceptive/misleading. Also, arrived to a terribly overgrown lawn that was over 10" high. Requested owner to have mowed but was refused since he said he was having sod put in any day now. We were there 11 days and nothing was ever done with the lawn (over 12" overgrown when we left). The pool cover structure was gone and looked like it was just ripped off with rugged sharp metal protruding all around the exterior edges of the pool patio, very unsafe for our toddler or any small children. Other than all that, the home interior was very nice, well maintained and well furnished. If the listing is corrected to eliminate deceptive/misleading descriptions and pics, I'm sure those that get what they expected will give much higher reviews. The interior was beautiful & spacious and the pool was very nice too.
Recommend this house. Nicely appointed, nice upscale neighborhood, pool was comfortably heated. Bed was superbly comfortable. We are in our 70's and bad beds are a killer. We slept like babies. Kitchen had all the utensils needed. If I had to make a recommendation, it would be to install 2 recliners so it's more comfortable watching TV. All in all, a good relaxing vacation. You won't be disappointed.
Not as advertised, Owner refused to turn on pool heater
We booked a house with a heated pool - water was ice cold on arrival. Email was sent to Owner at approx. 7:30pm that evening informing the water was cold. Pool light was also off even though it had been dark for almost two hours (it never came on until 9pm each night and off at midnight). The response from owner: “It is senseless to turn the heat on the swimming pool when the outside ambient temperature is 64F and will be getting colder tonight. I will turn the pool heat up when the temperature arises more.” He never did.
I responded to the owner that since the forecast for the next week to have highs of upper 60s/lower 70s, that his logic meant we can expect that the pool heater will not be turned on during our stay. Which is exactly what happened. Pool was 67F the morning we left; it was promised (a week before arrival) that it was already set to 82F. We had to listen to neighbors using their pools while we could not use what we paid for.
During a two day trip away, my portable security camera showed a stranger INSIDE the house. It was the pool man for some unknown reason. We had only been in the house for 12 hours before leaving on this trip - on return we discovered TWO patio doors unlocked and a bedroom window to be unlocked and open an inch.
Dust on ceiling fans. Mold on MB shower door. Ants in hall bath, and showerhead just dumped like a tap. Sand and construction insulation on living room floor.
There is NO lanai room as advertised. Dock in pics is not useable.
Everything about the rental was just good enough. We are pretty easy going Minnesotans that really enjoy our time in Cape Coral. Things were just different this year because of Hurricane Ian.

Beginning was rough, but very nice house.
House is very nice but not set up well. When we arrived, there was a great shortage of supplies that are normally furnished. We had to immediately go out to buy toilet paper, dish soap, baking dishes. Not enough towels. Toaster oven, living room TV and ice maker did not work. TV was repaired, others not. Pool was advertised as heated.. It was 5 days before pool was heated. Low rating on decor but had great possibilities. Owner was very hard to get hold of before arrival.
We had a really nice stay at this property. We were two families staying. Four adults and three kids. The house was clean and pool was very refreshing. The rooms were spacious and we enjoyed the open kitchen. The property is close to many things in Cape Coral and there is a Publix right down the street. The dock outside was really nice to hang out at. Kids fished and caught little shrimp. There was even a turtle that visited every evening. Seems like he may be a regular around to place. Also, for the kids, there were a couple cute wild bunnies hanging out on the property.
I would recommend this property for a family to stay. I do think the property needs a little updating. (Formica coming off cabinets in kitchen, pocket door in master won’t close, little things that may just get over looked) The kitchen could use some additional items for families like us who like to cook when on vacay. There were no measuring spoons, measuring cups, only one dish towel. Again, these are not deal breakers but little things that need some attention. We were not able to find a remote when we first got there and the property owner quickly responded and sent the property management right over. I can see he does listen to his renters. I saw one review that mentioned adding a grill. I was pleasantly surprised he did add the grill which was a great addition! We love to grill on vacay.
Overall, this is the fourth VRBO we have rented in Cape Coral. Seems to be a yearly tradition now. I would recommend this property.
My family and I had a great time at the property in cape coral. Very cozy quiet location, close to restaurants and shopping centers. The host Mr Irvin was cooperative.. We wanted to stay again. My kids and my wife enjoyed the pool. Thank you 😊.
Great house to stay in! It is a drive (if traffic is bad) to fort Myers or Sanibel island. Quiet neighborhood everyone was so nice! just be sure to bring towel there’s not many there. We did leave a bunch of sand towels for any future visitors. The pool was heated and the kids absolutely loved it.
Nice property and location. House could use some updates, for example the service door from mudroom to garage did not close/latch and swings freely, exhaust fan in 2nd bathroom did not work, exterior light bulbs burned out. Lacked a few basic amenities like hand soap, hair dryer. A gas grill would also be nice.
