About this property

Cabin 6 | Voyageur

Travel back in time with this authentic logging-inspired cabin. Voyageur, named for the beautiful backwoods national park in northern Minnesota, calls to the minimalist in all of us. Closely resembling the original one-bedroom cabins where hunters, trappers, and fisherman found shelter, this two-bedroom, one-bath cabin is centrally located with a nice open area just outside the front door.

The twobedrooms are small and separated from the living area by curtains. The kitchen opens to the living space and provides all the essentials. The bathroom is equipped with a standing shower, but no tub. Where space may be limited in other areas, this cabin does boast a large main living space with a comfortable sofa.Floors are carpeted with the exception of the bathroom and the kitchen space. This cabin does not have electric heat.

Woodson Cabins boasts 475-feet of shoreline on the northeastern shores of Lake Belle Taine on the quiet and secluded waters of Muskie Bay. Across the way is an island accessible only by the bridge just to the east of our property, and it is a popular fishing spot. Guests at Woodson Cabins benefit not only from the protection and peacefulness provided by the island but also easy access to the larger waters of Lake Belle Taine for all your recreational and fishing needs.

Our property offers a mix of sandy beach and natural aquatic vegetation for the perfect combination of water fun and tranquil lakeside views. We have beautiful natural landscaping throughout the property and rock retaining walls to protect the shoreline and prevent erosion. Not to mention the paved sitting areas throughout the property with loungers and adirondack chairs where you can take in a morning sunrise with your morning coffee or soak in the last rays of daylight as the Minnesota loons' cries fill the air.

Our seven cabins sit fairly close together, roughly 75-feet from the lake on a gently terraced slope. We strive to provide a quiet, restful getaway experience for our guests, and our location on a secluded bay on a dead-end road within walking distance from Nevis and the Heartland Trail is second to none.
