Outstanding cabiny feel with clean and comfortable accomodations. Close access to stores and restaurants and losts of walking areas around the neighborhood. Excellent communication and accessibility from host!
We loved our stay. Everything was easy and comfortable. Loved having a grocery store and a couple of restaurants walking distance away. I only wish the door code could have been provided the day before our arrival; it was provided the morning we were trying to get on the road, and I had to unpack my computer to check the email to access the door code (i don't have the app.) It was a bit of a hassle and a little nerve wracking . Everything else was great. Recommended.
Family Time In the Snow,,,,,,My family and I again had a wonderful time at Scott's cabin. The location is fantastic and close to everything. The cabin is spacious and exceptionally clean and well cared for. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and the cabin itself just feels super comfortable. Thanks Scott for another memorable weekend.
The house is a lovely mountain get away. Easy to access and close to all the services and activities the mountains have to offer. Beautiful view of the meadow is a bonus.
This was our first time in Arnold and we really enjoyed our stay. the kitchen was fully stacked and the house was clean (except lot of dog hair on the sofa). We were not able to enjoy the backyard due to continuous rain, but overall had a great time. It gave the feeling of a home away from home. Scott was very responsive and helpful. We would love to come back again and stay here.
This home had what we needed for a stay in Arnold during ski season. Living room/kitchen/dining area was a nice large room. Not super fancy/modern but functional bathrooms /kitchen.
We loved everything our stay at this beautiful, comfortable home. My 89-year-old father lives in the area, but we’ve outgrown his home and wanted to spend Thanksgiving close to him. Everything went smoothly from the beginning. Scott was very responsive and it was just easy. The house itself is comfortable and plenty of room to spread out.
We all really enjoyed reading about the history of the property and highly recommend reading the coffee table book when you stay here! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked, and my son was stoked to have waffles on one cold morning! I can’t say enough about this property and will be returning. Thank you to Scott and his family!
Very spacious and comfortable place for a girlfriends' getaway....well stocked, clean, and easy access to Lake Alpine, Calveras Big Trees State Park, and Murphys. We hiked, ate well, and played cards in the evenings by the fireplace. We highly recommend it! bhi
We enjoyed staying at this home in Arnold, which is close enough to walk to the brewery/restaurant, grocery store and other necessities, and a short drive to Calaveras Big Trees Park. The home is large and comfortable. The host kindly let check in early on a Saturday and was very communicative. We enjoyed playing horseshoes in the backyard. The kitchen is extremely well stocked for cooking. The blankets and linens could use a deep clean, and the yard some tidying, but we were comfortable.
Beautiful, comfortable mountain get away. We had a few hiccups, but the hosts were very responsive and worked with us to resolve those issues. We would book this house again!
We had a very pleasant stay. We were gone most days but came back to the house to relax. It was close to a grocery store which was convenient. Our host answered text really quickly. Thank you for your hospitality.
Five of us 70 ish old gals came to Arnold to see Steve Miller at Ironstone, which was postponed, but as we had the Mountain Meadow View Retreat rented for 4 nights we came anyway and had a very great time. The floor plan worked nicely, the view of the meadow was mesmerizing and Scott has been attentive and very kind. Cleanliness was an issue for us but Scott took it seriously, apologized and even refunded our cleaning deposit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this is lovely, rustic cabin with a beautiful view. The kitchen was one of the best equipped I have used. and the large living area gives plenty of space if you have a large group. The back patio is wonderful for relaxing. We even had an unexpected visit from a bear late one night!
We loved the location of this property….it was close to a shopping center, as well as more options in Murphys. The place was cool, quiet, and had the things we needed to cook a few meals and rest after hiking and fishing nearby. We will definitely be back!
We spent a couple nights at this cabin , it’s well maintained, clean and the location is very close to shopping markets , restaurants and Big Tree state park . The most convenient aspect for us was that the Tesla supercharger was very close to where we stayed so that was a huge relief!! The hosts were very responsive and we enjoyed our cabin experience!! Arnold is a great place to rent a cabin and enjoy !!
Our 2 generation family stayed at Scott’s place and had a wonderful time! Perfect floor for a crawling 9 month old. Scott was super responsive and allowed an early check in that helped our travel plans a lot! The location is very close to the market and White Pines lake. Thanks Scott for a place to create great family memories!
Came here for three days. Spent zero time reviewing emails. Feels like a million miles away from civilization, even though everything you could need is literally five minutes away. Very good restaurants are in the adjacent shopping center. Drive up the hill to see incredible scenery. Beautiful trees. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an escape from work. Host is very responsive.
+Great location in central Arnold, close to market.
restaurants, parks and Calaveras Big Trees, yet located
in a forest.
+Large home with roomy family and dining room.
Bedrooms have comfortable beds.
+Brand new Weber grill. Large kitchen adequately
supplied for preparing basic meals. Large dining table.
+Large back yard. Scenic views front and back.
+Host replies almost immediately and is very
accommodating and friendly.
Only Negatives:
- Closets are unusable in 2 of the bedrooms.
- Housekeeping issues which were mitigated
IMMEDIATELY by the host.
We had a great time at this property. It’s comfortable and well appointed with all we needed to enjoy our stay. And the location is close to everything Arnold has to offer. Would definitely come back!
