Other Things to Note
Security and Guest Verification:
- Our property includes an outdoor video monitoring system in the driveway and backyard to enhance security; it does not monitor private deck areas. Any tampering with the camera system will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of all dues.
- We prioritize the safety of our properties by partnering with Know Your Guest, a leading guest-screening provider. Before finalizing your booking, you'll need to verify your identity through their service. A link for verification will be provided, and you'll have the option to select either a refundable deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver for protection against accidental damage. This needs to be completed within a week of booking to maintain your reservation. No refunds for cancellation due to incomplete screenings.
Booking Policies:
- Rates are variable and subject to change.
- A minimum stay of three nights is required, extending to four nights over major Federal Holidays, with no checkouts on the holiday itself.
- Requests for shorter stays will not be accommodated, and date changes may be necessary.
Property Care and Usage:
- Keep our gate closed at all times to maintain security and privacy.
- No parties or events are allowed to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests.
- Only water is allowed in the bedrooms to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our bedding.
- DO not do laundry in freezing temperatures to prevent flooding from frozen pipes. Any damage from negligence will be the guest's responsibility.
- We operate on a well and septic system; please flush only toilet paper and natural waste.
- While we treat the home monthly for pests, its wooded location means bugs and snakes may be present occasionally. Use the provided vacuum for any bothersome insects.
Environment and Access:
- Our driveway is gravel and well-maintained, but it's on a mountain side where weather can create challenging conditions. We recommend vehicles with AWD/4WD; low clearance vehicles like sports cars may struggle.
- Prepare for potential power outages caused by natural events. The local power company is usually prompt with restorations, but delays can happen. We have flashlights and LED candles in the event of a power outage.
Waste Management:
- Should your trash exceed the outdoor bin's capacity, you can either take it to the local Waste Facility located 10 minutes towards Franklin or opt for a $25 pickup service by our cleaning crew. Please arrange this in advance if needed. More details in our house guide.
Enjoying Your Stay:
- You're staying in a house, not a hotel—please treat the space with respect. We are not on-site 24/7 but will respond as quickly as possible to any issues.
- Embrace the remote, off-grid experience if temporary departures from power occur, enjoying the peace that comes with our secluded location.
