My goal here was to provide a great location and create a space that heightens every one of your creative senses when you stay. In this I strived for "New York BoHo high rise on the water. " I have used local artists for a creative cozy retreat. There is 1 large screen tv in the main area and 1 tv in the bedroom and 1 tv in lower level. We sleep 4 comfortably with 2 bedrooms but can sleep 6 if needed with sofa bed. Hot tub on the water fire pit, grill, kayaks, paddle boat…all you need for a great getaway. The hot tub is treated at every stay. The kitchen is fully supplied for all your cooking needs. Access to the water, 5 min from great restaurants and boutique shopping in Peoria Heights. Pet friendly for 1 small dog. Pets must be crated when at the house alone. It is fenced but no grass so they must be walked for relief. Not allowed on furniture. Only registered guests allowed on property. No parties. Quiet time 10pm to 8am. No tampering with security equipment Your request to book must include a message with information, especially if you have no reviews. Where are you coming from? Who will be staying? Have you used VRBO before? Etc. if there is no message, I will not accept.

We love this house as it’s our second time staying. It’s so cozy and relaxing with a well maintained clean house and hot tub. The pet friendly part is also a plus for us. So nice to extend our visits to see family in the area and stay an extra couple days in this house for some quiet relaxing time. The energy in this house is so peaceful.and looking at the stars at night in a hot tub is a must! Kim basically supplies you with whatever you may need and some extra goodies! You can tell she really takes pride in being a good host and very responsive and attentive. Love everything about this property and hope to come back soon.
What a great place for a cozy stay!! The views and the hot tub, the big bed and the provisions for our pooch. Everything was lovely for our chilly little holiday getaway.
This location is even better in person! We were looking for a relaxing stay while visiting my family and couldnt have chosen better. The entire house felt beautifully curiated and comfortable plus it was so much fun! We got to watch firework shows going across the entire river and enjoyed fishing and playing ping pong to pass the time. Cant wait to stay again!
Great place to relax after a long day of volleyball games. Kids loved recovering in the hot tub and adults loved the view of the river, the creative and artistic decor, and super comfy beds. This would be a great place to visit in the warmer months as well. We also enjoyed dinner at a nearby restaurant called Thyme Kitchen and Craft Beer.

Disliked: Location
Very small and located next to railroad tracks
The property was very clean and well kept. Was just small and somewhat crowded. It’s very close to road tracks and trains came through at 4:30 in the morning.
My family of 4 and the puppies absolutely enjoyed the Labor Day weekend. The lake is literally 15-20 feet from the back of the house. The decor of the house is certainly bordering on maximalism, but really nothing feels out of place or excess. This is probably the first vacation where we enjoyed all of the available entertainment opportunities that were provided. We kayaked and strolled the beach, enjoyed the hotd-tub and fireplace at night. We will definitely look forward to coming back again if things work out that way.
We had a great time visiting Peoria. The house was in a great location. We enjoyed spending time at the house while enjoying the water equipment, ping pong table and hot tub. Kim reached out several times making sure everything was ok and that we had everything we needed.
Found this great little property that we were able to book, Had 4 adults and 2 teens, was a little tight but we made it work. Clean and enjoyable property no complaints will book again in the future. Host stayed in contact and was prompt with questions.
We planned to visit relatives in the QC. Since we got into Chicago late we wanted to stay at a place halfway, and we were lucky to find this rental. Super cozy house on the Illinois River had everything we needed. So enjoyed hearing the river sights and sounds from the hot tub! Next time we’ll stay longer.
This is a great little house. The back deck overlooking the river is just what I needed at the end of the day. From the plants and flowers outside to the amazing decor inside, this is a great place to stay. If and when I'm back in the area I hope its available at that time because here is where I would stay
This was such a well planned, placed and designed house. It is right along the river where you can watch bald eagles land, or watch the barge go by in the winter and crackle all the ice as it pushes to shore. The hot tub on the upper deck gives you such a great view and if you wake up early enough sunrise is a beautiful scene! The hosts have all the right comforts in place for a really amazing stay.
Stayed overnight after visiting the frozen waterfalls at Starved Rock. Watching the sunrise over the frozen lake from the hot tub was the highlight of the stay. We enjoyed the eclectic decor and playing ping pong with the kids. We are planning to come back in warmer weather to try out the kayaks on the lake.
Our family was in town for Ledgestone disc golf tournament and the house was a great place for locations of disc park's and with the hot tub to relax, also the beds were so comfortable 😀 and the neighbors were very friendly 😀. I will be booking for next year 😀 👍 Kim was very reachable with any need which were none!
We had a wonderful few days of rest and relaxation! The only complaint was there was no curtains in bedroom.

Beautiful view
The view was absolutely stunning and made the entire trip. I rated lower due to some listed amenities not being available and items in need of repair. However, being able to sit on the deck by the water and roast s'mores over a fire was golden. The trip was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Our family of 5 really enjoyed this wonderful home right on the water! The interior is so fun - it’s like your favorite beautiful boutique with something unique and colorful wherever you look! Lovely deck and patio area to relax and enjoy the views! Our boys had a great time playing ping pong and chess! Beds are SO comfy!!!! Kitchen had everything we needed + some extra treats! Owner very helpful! Looking forward to returning when we are in the area in the future!
This a nice house in the water. The entrance to the road a little steep so if you have a low riding car, it may be an issue but we have an suv so it was fine for us . The bedrooms are on separate levels which is nice for privacy. We loved that there was upper and lower deck. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
Nice property, Owner helpful with any questions but not a true 2 bedroom.
The place was very clean, a lot of really neat artwork and lighting. Upstairs family room, kitchen, deck and bedroom were great. Great views of the river. Listing says “2 bedrooms” , that’s not correct. My sister in law only stayed 1 night due to the lack of privacy.” 2nd bedroom” is in the basement and 2 feet from the ping pong table. No dressers or privacy door to be a true bedroom, just a folding panel. Nice place but inaccurate description. Felt presser to give a 5 star rating since checkout instructions said give me a 5 star review and I’ll give you one too. Thats not how it works. Again, nice place, very clean, great river views but it’s not a true 2 bedroom place.
We had a girls’ weekend in Peoria for my sister’s 38th birthday celebration. This charming and eclectic lake home provided all the comfort, escape, and amenities we were hoping for. The hot tub was clean and easy to use. The instructions for the property were clear and accessible. The house is super clean, stocked, and conveniently located. We ended up spending more time in Peoria Heights (shops, restaurants, gorgeous parks/historic homes) than downtown.
Thank you so much for sharing your home! We had a wonderful time!
