We stayed down there in May for the big bass tour. While the fishing wasn’t amazing, our stay was. For the first time in 7 years of being down there, we finally found a house that can hold boats and trailer well. Plenty of outlets for charging the boat and everything else you should ask for! Everyone had their own bed and the situation was just amazing. We will be back!
My family, including grandparents, were in town to attend a graduation so we added on a long weekend. The home is just outside the SML park. If you enjoy outdoor activities, I recommend this property. We had a great time around the firepit out back one evening, the weather and bugs were very accommodating. The home easily sleeps 6 and 8-10, assuming some people are sleeping in the same bed, is realistic.
One thing to note, there is only a convenience store locally, the nearest town was 20 minutes away so bring with you what you will need, you cannot easily run to the store to pick-up an item.
No personal dock ! Community dock that neighbors said I wasn’t allowed there unless owner was with me. Had to pay $10 everyday to put boat in and out at the state park a few miles away. Driveway was not big we had 2 boats and knocked the mailbox down and had to fix it. Place needs major repairs and updates!
Property was sufficient for our stay to fish SML for 4 days. Homeowner/manager was responsive an issue we experienced and the issue was resolved. Multiple tow vehicles with boats fit the drive way and work nicely for us.

Owner Lives There
The house was not clean. The owner lives in the house when renters are not staying there. He moves over to a garage beside the house while you stay there. Did not know this when we booked it. So when we walked in and saw all the opened and unopened boxes of snacks, cereal, the fridge/freezer had an opened package of ham, tray of eggs with broken egg shells and PLENTY of other already open used food items in it. I was thinking that the last guests had left those items and it had not been cleaned… WRONG. That’s the owner’s food that he told me we were welcome to eat if we wanted including the opened ham cold cuts, and eggs, No Thanks. The floors were dirty, food under the kitchen table, dirty carpets/ rug, little black curly hairs on the bedroom sheets. The stove top was dirty with crums of food debris, there was a piece of some kind of granola bar mostly eaten on the nightstand, some flakes of some type of shiny metallic material on the sheets of one of the guest beds. I called Lincoln the owner, who seemed like a nice gentleman on the phone, said he had spent 3 hours cleaning the place prior to our arrival and when I told him the cleanliness was not up to par and unacceptable , he acknowledged that “ We just disagree about acceptable cleanliness “. He did come back to clean while we went out on the lake after loading all of our belongings back into the truck. It was better when we got back later, with different sheets on the master bed, no black curly hairs all over this set. I used the kitchen sink that night to fill up the coffee maker and wash my hands. Water started coming out onto the floor from the dishwasher, we did not use the dishwasher. Opened the dishwasher and saw the bottom was filled with dirty water, old dirty water, and was leaking into the floor. Cleaned up the water and had to place a towel in front of the dishwasher to catch the water. Told Lincoln about the water the next day and that we were not staying another night. We headed home a day early of a 2 night booked stay. I did not ask for any refunds, we just just wanted to leave. Will not book this place again.
This house was perfect for me and 7 friends to enjoy a lake weekend. House was clean and had plenty of room. The neighborhood was very quiet. The dock was a short walk from the house that was perfect for swimming and docking our pontoon to load up our gear. The back yard was perfect for afternoon games and evening fires. We made use of the grill that was at the house also. The driveway had more than enough from for the four cars that we had. You could probably fit 15 cars in the driveway. Lincoln was extremely friendly and very responsive with any and all questions we had. He would usually respond immediately through the app. 10/10 would recommend the spot. We will be returning next year.
This was a great getaway spot. Plenty of room and next to the water. Everything was provided and if it wasn't the owner would definitely help in anyway, but nothing was needed. I would Definitely recommend this place. 150% love this place.
The house vas really nice and spacious. Just have to walk a little bit for the dock.. but is a wonderful view. We went with my family to spend New Years eve there.. and was very relaxing. Lincoln vas very friendly and answer all our questions within mins.
