About this property

What was once a small log cabin, which was built in the mid 1800's to be servant's quarters, has been updated and added on to over many years. It is now a beautiful and relaxing century lake home with huge hot tub/swim spa perfect for families and friends to enjoy scenic views and time away together. Three bedrooms and two full baths as well as multiple common areas provide all the personal and gathering space you need.

The host can assist via phone in opening the hot tub for the first time. It's a little heavy/tricky. This is at your convenience, takes 5 minutes and can be done in person at your request.

Take special care in below freezing temperatures upon exiting the hot tub to avoid slipping on ice. I recommend bringing a warm robe, slip on shoes and beach towels. Bath towels are provided.

Young children are permitted in spa but would need supervised because of strong currents and possible high temperatures.

This home has an insurance limitation that limits guests are from a max of 4 households. No Events. There are residential homes nearby which must not be disturbed.

Parking is limited to 4 cars. There is not additional street parking available.

The scenic lake is for viewing only. No fishing swimming or boats unfortunately.

Amazing Cottage in the Country

My family and I had a wonderful stay at your cottage. We had my husband, 3 boys, and me plus grandparents. There was plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked. The bathrooms were updated and clean with plenty of towels and washcloths. The beds were comfy and there were lots of pillows and blankets. We loved the back deck and the swim spa. So relaxing with a wonderful view of the lake. Everything was decorated so beautifully and the home was comfortable and perfect for our family. Thank you for having us!

This house is deceivingly huge on the inside. Everything is clean and well stocked. Lots of seating and sleeping. The pool is amazing! Comfy bed. Very responsive owners. Could not have been better. We would definitely stay again for the pool alone.

The hot tub/pool was wonderful. If I could give one piece of criticism it would be to change the pool cover position. When the cover is open, it blocks the patio making it difficult to socialize with people on the patio while you are in the pool.

We loved our stay. I could not believe how long the swim spa kept our daughters occupied, (2 young adults, 1 adolescent). Would you like to kick back without a single complaint that there’s nothing to do? The surroundings in the area were nicer than we expected. The house itself was very clean, and the host was great.

Relaxing atmosphere

Stayed here while visiting relatives nearby and enjoyed every minute. The house has antique charm with all modern conveniences. The master bedroom is on the main floor with bathroom right next to it, the two secondary bedrooms are upstairs (interesting, historic stairs so people with some mobility issues need to take their time.) The third possible sleeping space (futon couches) is in the basement (a new set of stairs that felt more secure.) The second bathroom is also on the main level, so people staying on the second level or basement do need to travel for the facilities. Just adding detail because we weren't certain of the layout before we arrived and being older it's something we need to consider. The great room is a good place to sit, relax and watch the birds and wildlife through the large windows if the weather isn't right for sitting on one of the two deck areas. The hot tub/pool was in perfect working order and greatly enjoyed by our party. Sunny is an amazing host and has provided so many nice touches to the house to make it welcoming and feel like a home and not just a motel with extra rooms. We definitely recommend staying at this property, and if we get back this way will hope that it is available for us again.

Lovely property💕

Everything about this property was absolutely beautiful & perfect for our stay. It was close to a Family Dollar, not far from Walmart. Only thing we all would have changed had to do with the swim spa. There wasn’t enough lighting outside around it. The deck could’ve been higher & went all the way around it. This way it would’ve been easier in and out of it verses the steps and there also would’ve been a place closer for our towels. Other than that fabulous property and we would love to come back for a weekend getaway.
