Shadow Rock Pavilion & Bungalow and Clapping Tree Falls were named from the scriptures. I saw the property and knew that God lead me here because I didn't look any further, and for the reason I hear guests say, "It's so quiet and peaceful here." I have dogs and so do my neighbors, that is part of living in the country. We are in the Appalachian Mountain chain in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The land has creeks and views of the distant mountains, ferns, rhododendrons, sourwood trees, where my favorite honey comes from, hard woods, and native flora and fauna. The sky offers a new picture day and night. Have you been forest bathing ? It's immersion in the natural world. The stone floor and covered patio have a view of the Clapping Tree waterfall the water continues to flow to the Chattooga river where there is white water rafting also kayaking is popular. Splendor Mountain's man made lake has moving water with the help of underground springs. Banner Lake is a swimming lake, there are many fishing spots nearby. If you have never been to Historic Clayton, Dillard and Lakemont Village each one is less than 20 minutes away from Tiger and well worth the experience of getting there. The Chattahoochee National Forest the Appalachian Trail and Tallulah Gorge are close by. Meeting people changed my mind about being a part-timer, so a home was built and I have enjoyed the blessings of a walk and talk with the Lord Jesus in the surrounding nature for many glorious years. Ask us about trails on the property. Tiger Drive-In theater, Goats on the Roof, fly fishing, boating, hiking, restaurants, spas, golf, distilleries, wineries, breweries, bicycling, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, visiting waterfalls, Black Rock Mountain Park, The Foxfire Museum, Hillside Orchard, Sky Valley Overlook, Wander North Georgia (2 locations) I could go on. Make sure you stop in the Rabun County Welcome Center, it's awesome.

We don't have WiFi, and we provide a HDMI cable for the TV, for your computer or Smart Phone.

Quiet, quaint stay with beautiful waterfall and the outdoors!

My husband and I enjoyed a short getaway at Splendor Mountain. We had our own pavilion to hang out under outside with the view of a waterfall. The place really is unique the way it is set up and it was so private.

We loved how remote it was yet only 15 minutes from Clayton GA and restaurants, shops, etc. We loved spending evenings on the covered patio, playing cards in front of the fire and listening to the waterfalls.

Peaceful and Unique Spot!

This was my first VRBO experience, and I am compltely happy about it. This is a lovely tucked in cabin next to a stunning rockfall. I was thrilled to open the windows at night and see the stars above. Perfectly appointed, comfy bed and very clean. Loved it, and hope to return for more mountain hikes.

Serenity and a Wonderful Mountain Locale

Acres of walking space and beautiful mountain views. All the accommodations are tastefully decorated and clean. So quiet—no road noise to interrupt the enjoyment of natural beauty that surrounds cabins and pavilion. Wildflowers abound even in early autumn. Fabulous Getaway!

Beautiful place to host an event (such as a wedding or a family reunion) and a lovely spot for a couple's getaway too! The owner, Chevin, is a true delight to communicate with and responds quickly to any questions. I feel like I've made a new friend! Beautiful Location for 2

Beautiful location and clean single room suite above private large covered patio. Perfect place for 2 adults and 1 small dog. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Covered patio overlooks woods and small waterfall. Great outdoor covered fireplace, but it was too warm during our stay for us to use. Our camping chairs were useful for flexible location seating / lounging. Room is located on second story above patio with stairway access, so beware if you have bad knees (totally fine for us). Nice property manager.

Great weekend getaway!

The bungalow was gorgeous! The getaway for us was so awesome. The location could not have been any better. The owner of the property met us with chocolates because we couldn’t figure out how to exactly get to it, so she chauffeured us in. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the property manager. She is great. The property is great. The weekend was awesome. The pictures online do this place no justice absolutely breathtaking.

Frankly, I was looking for a great place to walk my dogs. My neighbor's are the best. The Rabun County folks born and bred and those who could not wait to get here make up a diverse of hard working, sharing and creative people, I call friends. I got more than I bargained for. I am grateful to God.

We have the capacity to have weddings and other events so groups can plan a gathering. The Shadow Rock Pavilion & Bungalow is one of the three properties. This is unique as we can lodge up to 14 guests.
