Great home for our family of 5!
We loved being near a fantastic coffee shop and able to commute to nearby cities to explore.
Would stay here again.

Not Clean
House was a nice enough house with lots of bedrooms although some beds weren’t great. Good location but our main issue was it had not been cleaned. Fast food in fridge, stuff spilled on counter and in sink, hadn’t been vacuumed or mopped, dirty towels left in a bathroom. Tried to work with owner but didn’t get someone there until two days into stay and they only took the food out of the fridge and wiped the counter. Didn’t even take the garbage out that had been left from the previous guests. After the second complaint to owner we gave up as it wasn't going to change. Owner did not offer any discount. Nice enough house but bring cleaning supplies

Basic
We were staying at this location for a wedding (four adults) We were advised on landing of a late check out so we could not get into property until then when our rehearsal dinner was at 6pm - a call to the manager and he said we could go to the property. Our booking was for House 1 we then arrive and told we were in House 2 as House 4 was moving to House 1. Both House 1 and House 2 were not clean. On returning to House 2 to it was clean but no mugs for coffee or tea (Apparently they were taken by the people before us) We were eventually given some mugs. The accommodation looks nice but is very basic - no little touches with soap or toiletries =- towels were also basic quality. Overall disappointing for the price as not inexpensive for two nights.
The cottage appeared just as it was listed, it was very clean, the open floor plan was a big plus for my family and overall we were happy and pleased with the accommodations. The only negative experience was a problem with the refrigerator's ice maker and the door handles to the refrigerator and freezer kept coming off. The waterline to the ice maker had a steady stream of water that poured out causing water to accumulate in the freezer bottom and run over on to the floor. I was exhausted from ringing out towels to absorb the water but eventually, we were able to turn off the waterline to the ice maker and purchased bags of ice. Throughout the ordeal the host, Dennis, was very apologetic about what we experienced and remained in touch until the issue was resolved. All of this occurred on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving, but on Thanksgiving Day, the overall experience was just a passing laugh. A much needed repair of the refrigerator with all other things constant would certainly be a 5 Star experience for me. The cottage is beautiful!!
The nightly rate was healthy but doable. The fees were almost as much as the room rate, however. I would definitely make other arrangements next time. This has got to be addressed at Vrbo.
