Welcome to The Sandy! A gorgeous home in Historic Downtown Brenham. Simply check in and hang up your keys! You are now feet (LITERALLY FEET!!!) from Brenham's finest shops, restaurants, breweries, lounges, and entertainment. Perfect for a romantic getaway, couples, girls, or family trip. The Sandy is so spacious! She welcomes you with her mid 1800s soaring ceilings, warmth, and character while showing off her eclectic style.

The Sandy’s floor plan is conveniently split into two suites which allow for complete privacy. Each sizeable bedroom will wow you with soaring ceilings and is beautifully decorated in its own unique way. Each has a top-of-the-line hybrid mattress wrapped in crisp cotton sheets and a plush pull-out couch. This allows everyone to have a dreamy night's sleep.

Sitting on a grand parcel of land you will enter on our large private back driveway. You will be given a custom code to enter the home and once inside you can simply hang up your car keys! You are now within walking distance of Historic Downtown's finest restaurants, breweries, lounges, shops, and entertainment.

Please note: Our home sits close to downtown's historic train depot. The train does still run at different times. We have provided sound machines, and fans for each bedroom if needed.
Quiet time for outside is 10:30 pm. No loud noises outside after 10:30 pm. No Parties, Glitter, Confetti, or Smoking. Guests must park on the private back driveway.

Pets
We accept a maximum of two pets per booking. You must notify us of your pet at the time of booking. Our pet fee is $20.00 per pet, per day. This fee is not part of your booking fee and will be added once we are notified of your pet at the time of booking. Pets must be kenneled when left alone in the home. Owners are financially responsible for any damages made by pets.

For the safety and security of our guests and home security cameras are located on the front and back exterior of the house.

Perfect Property

We celebrated our anniversary in Brenham and absolutely loved this property! The house is immaculate, comfortable and it was super convenient to be able to walk downtown to shops and restaurants. The hosts were very gracious and offered us snacks and beverages of our choice, even a gift card to a local confectionery for our anniversary, and were very responsive to any questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again and again! Highly recommend!!!

Ultimate Girls Trip

I cannot say enough good things about The Sandy! Huge rooms, updated kitchen and baths, great backyard, ample parking and generous hosts! And the ease of walking next door to go downtown for shopping and dining is an added plus!We took a girls trip to Round Top and loved the plentiful mirrors for makeup application and the provided pack & play for a baby traveling with us! Would also be great for two families!The sweet hosts were so thoughtful in their preparation for us. Just wait to see for yourself! Would definitely stay here again! (One thing to note, the trains are right next door and are frequent. Bring a sound machine and use the provided ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Did not ruin the trip but definitely something to prepare for.)

Beautiful house and lots of extra touches!

This was a great house and had everything we needed plus some nice extras like the snacks and fresh milk! The train is close by but the windows are good so did not really hear it! Highly recommend this house and it is super close to downtown Brenham about a two minute walk! Wish we had more time to enjoy it but if we go back to Texas will definitely rent again!!

The Sandy is truly a five star property and a great location. Everything you need for a stay in Brenham. Very attentive owners with a focus on the details. The ladies liked the decorating and the guys were able to catch the Texas game in the comfortable and spacious living area. Looking for a reason to come back.

Downtown Brenham gem.

The house was adorable and the host was fabulous! We were within walking distance to downtown Brenham and only a 20 minute drive to Round Top. The Sandy is the place to stay if you’re looking for accommodations in the Brenham area!

This property is awesome if you want to be in Brenham or the surrounding areas. The owner was so sweet, left us a personalized gift basket, and was very responsive to our questions. You can walk in to town, the yard is huge and they allow pets :) Definitely stay here

Celebratory Weekend

This property was so cute and had so much character and charm. We absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to stay there again. Ken and Kat were great hosts too. They were available for questions and we definitely appreciated the little surprise snacks they left us. Overall I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.

Perfect Stay in Brenham

My family and I came in to shop at Round Top and The Sandy couldn’t have been a better choice. Perfectly located near downtown Brenham and then an easy drive to Round Top. Kay and Ken keep the house incredibly clean and go above and beyond to be accommodating. Nothing but great things to say. We will be back!

Great place in Brenham

We had a delightful trip. We always enjoy Brenham so it was a treat to find a place so close to town. The owners provided everything we needed. The house is roomy and very well kept. We would definitely choose it again and recommend it to friends.

The cutest home!

The Sandy is by far the best property I’ve rented. The house is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you need and more to feel right at home (I wish it was home)! The host was amazing! She added personal welcoming touches and checked in several times to make sure we were comfortable. She even extended our checkout time without us asking to allow us to take our time departing this amazing home. The home is perfectly located a short walking distance to downtown Brenham which allowed us to enjoy the Sip and Stroll event happening downtown during our stay! There is nothing but positive things to say about staying here! We’ll be looking for a reason to return to Brenham during warmer weather to be able to return to this amazing home and enjoy the spacious back yard which is great if you want to bring your human or fur children along!

The Sandy is fantastic!!

This property is such a gem! We booked it for a girls long weekend getaway and couldn’t have been happier. The location really can’t be beat. It is just a short walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping in historic downtown Brenham. We arrived to a well-stocked house. It is clear the owners put a lot of thought into making the stay comfortable and convenient. First aid supplies, extra phone chargers, toiletries, cereal, coffee, and more were available- they thought of everything! Special treats were left for us too and made us feel so welcome and at home. Communication with the host was easy, friendly, and responsive. The house was beautiful inside and had a very a cozy and fun vibe. The beds were super comfy too! For those who are sensitive to sounds, be aware that a train runs nearby. We found it rather charming though and enjoyed the ambiance the train provided. We absolutely loved staying at the Sandy! We would definitely stay there again if back in Brenham!

Pretty ideal

My only hesitation in leaving an honest review is a concern about whether I’ll ever be able to find available time to rent The Sandy again. It was pretty ideal for the fall show at Round Top, but it honestly would be great for a getaway any time. The house is super cozy and comfortable, with every amenity you could want, and the yard is wonderfully welcoming. If you are going to a show, the distance is easy and you’re coming in the opposite direction of most of the traffic. We found two restaurants in town that we really enjoyed, and were sorry not to be able to try more. I highly recommend The Sandy!

Birthday Antique Week Trip

This was the BEST house and hosts I’ve experienced! My aunt and I enjoyed a great trip this past week for our birthdays. Not only is the house comfortable but they leave the best goodies for you to enjoy. Easy access to downtown Brenham and Roundtop. Love it and will be back!

amazing hosts & home made stay so memorable

Kat was an absolutely amazing host. You can tell that she truly cares and wants people to have a wonderful experience. She touched base with us while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed, it's like we were old friends. The Sandy is an adorable home, lovingly restored, located in a beautiful neighborhood, close to the lovely historic downtown area. We were within walking distance to so many wonderful shops and restaurants. The home is impeccably clean and was creatively stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. Before our arrival, Kat asked a few questions about our group: things we liked. She took that information and customized the most wonderful treats and snacks. We felt so appreciated and cared for. The Sandy deserved 5 Stars for sure! Kat deserves even more for making us feel at home and so welcome. The home is very spacious, well stocked, super clean, and we felt safe. We all enjoyed the comfortable beds, high quality linens, housewares, and comfy furniture. The washer and dryer were a big plus. Off street parking was very convenient. The outdoor dining area was adorable, and called our names to enjoy...Unfortunately, we never got around to getting the steaks, we had planned to purchase and grill...too many wonderful restaurants in the area to try...we will be back! Next time we will grill. Do yourself a favor and give The Sandy a try, you won't be disappointed; Kat won't allow it!

Home is very beautiful. Kat and Ken was very accommodating at our stay. Literally everything you need is at the house. Way better than a hotel. I love the decor of the house. We felt like was at home. We was there for my Daddy funeral. We will stay here again when we visit Brenham again. Hopefully the dates will be available. God bless Kat and Ken.

Absolutely perfect girls weekend!

I could probably spend all day gushing about The Sandy and our lovely weekend there - it was that good!! As soon as we walked in, we all fell in love with the place. Kat has clearly put so much love into the property, the decor and amenities are wonderful and there are so many tiny details and beautiful vintage touches everywhere. I didn’t want to leave! We would’ve been perfectly happy spending the entire weekend in the house relaxing and playing games, but we lucked out with gorgeous weather, and the adorable historic town of Brenham is literally just steps away from the front door. We spent a day walking around the little shops and restaurants and just had the best time. We also loved hanging out in the backyard at The Sandy day and night (the fire table was awesome!) I truly have never stayed at a better rental, and I will be telling so many people about The Sandy. We are planning to return for the same weekend next year and already can’t wait!!

The Sandy is absolutely gorgeous--decorated with taste and warmth. It's just a 5 minute walk to the picture postcard that is downtown Brenham. And, as inviting as the inside of the home, the backyard is an oasis of relaxation and refreshment. You'll love it.

Amazing!

We stayed here on a girls trip to shop Round Top and didn’t want to leave. :) The house is truly perfect. So clean, warm and inviting and beautifully decorated with every creature comfort you could want. Kat went above and beyond as a host! She even reached out the week of asking our favorite snacks/drinks. Upon our arrival, we walked into a goodie basket of snacks, sweet card and drinks in the fridge. That was such an nice and unexpected touch. She also has a digital welcome book of check in/out instructions, info on the house and lots of recommendation of things to do and see in Brenham. I was able to send this to the other ladies the week of so we could all take a look at what we wanted to do while there. We absolutely want to stay at The Sandy again next year. New tradition! Thank you Kat and Ken for opening your home to us and making our stay special.
