What a lovely home. What a lovely view! The owners are so thoughtful. Everything ( including treats for the dog) was provided d to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Great wood stove. Comfy beds. We went into the Hobart Book Village and then read by the fire. Or outside on the lawn with the view. Went on some rail trail walks and did some fishing. Just what the doctor ordered. Highly recommend.

Windy Ridge is the perfect mountain cabin!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Windy Ridge. Aptly named, the property is situated at the top of a blustery hill (that was easy to access by car) with spectacular views of the surrounding mountain range. The cabin itself was gorgeous and comfortable—beautiful wood throughout, a wood-burning stove that warmed the house pretty darn well for the dead of winter in the Catskills, a well-stocked kitchen with great views of the land, and three perfectly warm + comfortable bedrooms. If you’re looking for someplace to have a cozy getaway in the mountains that you could also use as a base for exploring local farms, hiking, or towns like Stamford/Hobart, this is a fabulous option. Really felt like we got to experience the Catskills by staying here.

We spent a summer renting this property and fell in love with it and the beautiful surrounding area. It is so relaxing to be here. Yet, with high-speed WiFi you can work from here as well.

What makes this property unique

Absolutely love the panoramic mountain views, the quiet, starry nights, and the country roads to walk along or bike on. We're close enough to Stamford village for food shopping and basics. And Stamford is on the rise, with new coffee shops, antique stores, and a great wine & liquor store.
