Cancelled 5 hours before Check-in

The property owner cancelled my reservation 5 hours before check-in stating “an accident had occurred at the property due to a natural disaster and required months of renovation”. The property owner never replied to my multiple messages asking more details about the incident such as what exactly happened and when, and why the cancellation was so last minute. I even drove past the property on my way to the hotel I had to rent last minute for nearly 5 times the cost, and nothing seemed wrong with the property (no tree or fire damage, no crews outside doing work or cleanup). It is a duplex and the other tenants in the building appeared to be home as if all was normal. I was in town for a family wedding from out of state and the owner put me in a difficult position of having no where to stay that night. Beware of this property and owner. They are poor communicators and may hang you out to dry.

Quick overnight

Worked well for overnight stay while visiting family. First impression a little unnerving as outside needs groomed but inside met our needs.

Mini vaca

Location is pretty easy to get to, grocery stores are within a 5-10 minute drive. Was not sure if we could park in the driveway since the upstairs unit is occupied.

The only critique I have is that we booked for 4 adults but there were only 2 towels. Otherwise it was as expected.

Visiting Relatives

For the price, this was better than a hotel. We cooked breakfast everyday before venturing out to visit family. There is also a few restaurants and a place called Danny's grill that we visited twice. We came home and were able to relax and get some sleep. This was perfect for what we needed and I would come back and do it again!

Cleanliness was excellent and the price was very reasonable. The backyard could have been cleaned up. This was a first floor unit and there was some noise from the person on the second floor - not terrible but slightly annoying. There were a number of air fresheners which we did not like although others may like the smell. We had some difficulty reaching the owner to obtain the lock box code. However, we eventually reached him and had no issues with check in upon arrival.

Cozy

This two bedroom apartment is cozy. Has a great feel to it. The one thing I would suggest is bring some sharp knives and some Necessary cooking needs as the kitchen does not have so items. But I would definitely stay here again. It’s about 1.5 miles from lake compounce amusement park.

Great Experience

I was very pleased with my experience while staying in this unit. The place was very clean and had all my family and I needed. I loved that it was nice and warm given that I am from Florida. Location was perfect..less than 5 minutes from stores and restaurants. The beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed some nice quiet time as the neighborhood was very quiet. I definitely recommend this place!
