Pre Christmas snow storm

Do to weather, our stay went from six to just the two of us. The food prep I had to do for an event was easy in the full size kitchen.

In town for a family wedding. Great place to stay, very convenient for our purposes. I would recommend for anyone visiting the area.

Family vacation

The GPS lied to us about where it was, however we found it very easily (it was just across the street) we didnt really relaize that it was gonna be a little tiny neighborhood type thing but there wasnt really anyone else around and it was very nice and quiet! We enjoyed the overall area, watching the horse and buggies go up and down the road and seeing the deer in the evenings. We took both of our dogs along and the area was a great place for them to run around and play! Overall we really enjoyed the house and had a great time!

Decent place to stay but bad odor

This is a nice property in a new development. No one stayed in either of the houses beside us, which are all somewhat close together. The address listed is for the sawmill across the road. My 5 friends and I mainly went to stargaze, which we were able to do from the front porch. The views are great, both of the valley and the sky. There was a nearby dusk to dawn light on a barn that slightly affected our nighttime view however. The house had enough space for 6 adults, 8 would be the max. The host was very responsive and the place was very clean when we arrived. However there was a constant sewer odor both outside and in the downstairs which made the weekend less enjoyable. Also one of the downstairs rooms had water/humidity damage on the ceiling when we arrived. All in all not a bad place to stay, without the odor issues I’d rate it 5 stars.

Cute quiet home

We had a wonderful stay. We already have our next visit scheduled. The place was spotless and everything worked as it should. My only recommendation would be to have hangers in the closet, as there isn’t a dresser available. Thanks for a great get a way.

We had a great time!

The area is nice, quiet and the neighbors are very friendly. The house is equipped with everything you need and the host is very responsive. If you enjoy star gazing, you can do it from the front porch or drive to Cherry Springs, which is about 35 minutes away. If you like hiking, Grand Canyon of PA is 45 minutes away. There's plenty of stuff to do in the surrounding towns or, if you prefer, you can just sit on the porch and enjoy the view.

Terrible communication. We were locked out til past midnite

The house is lovely, clean and well-equipped. I would suggest adding a kettle for tea drinkers. The only issue we had is that there was zero communication regarding the check-in process or the fact that the address on the listing is not correct. I never received any checkin info so set my gps to the address on the listing. I called to inquire about checkin info and was told the house is unlocked and keys are inside. When we arrived after dark, it was pitch dark and there was no house at the address provided. I tried phoning both the numbers I had for the owners and no one answered. We found a dirt road near where the gps was indicating and drove down it. We found the house but it was locked. I tried calling again. No answer. We tried calling multiple times. There were no hotels within an hour’s drive of where we were. Finally someone answered after midnight and told us how to get in. The next morning, the owner delivered donuts to apologize but I am allergic to gluten and my husband is diabetic. So, just poor communication all around.
