The village of Lupus is unique, and the scenery is gorgeous. Cottage is clean, cozy and well appointed. A bit too far for back-and-forth to Mizzou, but perfect for a restful weekend away.
We have stayed in this cottage twice now, and it’s exactly what we wanted and more both times! It’s very well maintained and obviously cared for. The host is extremely attentive and responsive. It’s a quiet neighborhood with beautiful country views and we will absolutely be staying again.
Cute old timey decor in a relaxing country setting. The birds living under the rafters provided an unexpected morning wake-up call. No problem for us early risers though.

Host is very nice. Property not at all like it is advertised.
Dangerous stairs. Not very clean. Sleeping arrangements are not what we needed for 4 people. Futon broke. Old food in fridge. Definitely not what we expected. But the host was quick to make things right.
The property was very nice with a very nice county home vibe , the only critique I have was t he neighborhood was a little cluttered but not bad over all.
We had an excellent time in this VRBO. It was warm and cozy. It was updated with modern amenities while still maintaining vintage charm with a beautiful antique radio accenting the living room and the wood burning stove in the kitchen. It was the perfect amount of space for a couple. The whole cottage had very warm and welcoming vibes. The river was within walking distance and we actually enjoyed being so close to the train tracks. It was an excellent choice for a weekend away from the demands of life and being in the city. We will absolutely rent again and will be renting the other property this owner has in the same area for our family. Thank you!
The house was perfect! It was small with just exactly what you needed for a home away from home. I would definitely recommend staying here and coming back again!
Such a lovely place and Andrew was so nice/helpful. Very quite and beautiful.
Note: Full bed is very soft and springy, but the extra twin is more firm. So you have options for comfort.

This is truly a peaceful getaway!! One of the biggest compliments we get is how quiet and relaxing it is here. At night you can often hear the river churning as it rolls along near by. Lupus also has a fantastic musical history, with many great artist performing at the local general store during the summer/fall. Lupus is known for its large music festival held annually in the fall, often attracting several thousand attendees!
