We loved staying in this beautifully restored house while we explored the town of Philippi and the surrounding area. Both the house and the town were delightful and well worth the visit! We would recommend this place to anyone looking for small-town historic charm. Philippi is an understated gem!
Stayed for Wesleyan graduation for my daughter who spent her first three years in Phillippi at Alderson Broaddus before it closed.Enjoyed staying in the town and seeing the historical museum by bridge with the Mummies! House is beautiful and host was very accommodating.
The home is gorgeous and the woodwork details are beautiful. The house was extemely clean and well stocked. We very much enjoyed our stay while visiting family, and will be sure to rent it again when we return.
We needed a place to stay as we were picking up a puppy in the area. The house was exactly as described online, super clean, and very comfortable. The owners were in touch with us if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this home.
Wonderful House - Clean - Elegant - Great Location
What a beautiful and clean house. We loved it! And so did our kids. Our oldest thought the clawfoot tub was so fancy and fun. It was a beautiful and well taken care of home and in the perfect location. Exactly as was listed. We will be back.
The house was so cute and charming. Everything is so well kept and the furnishings were some of the best I have every seen in a weekend house. The neighbor hood is quite, but there is a lot of street traffic. There were a few little shops to walk to and we enjoyed the Lurch Festival while we were there.
