This cabin was beautiful with magnificent views from the porch and hot tub. It was well stocked with everything you might need. Although the elevation was up there, it was secluded and quiet just like we prefer. Highly recommend and Jason was an awesome host!
Great location! You feel like you’re on a mountain by yourself, but a close drive to town and area attractions.
House is set up well for a family with kids and teens. The kids loved the game room!
Overall, great house!
Everything was even better than described, even the pictures don't do justice to how wonderful this place is. A bit of a drive to town, but that's kind of the point. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay and the place was gorgeous. It was nice having the game room but it’s a little misleading to call it a fourth bedroom. The pictures made it look like it was a basement, but it’s a detached garage with bunk beds that wasn’t well insulated. You really need to read through the entire listing specifications. It says it sleeps 10, but it really sleeps 6 comfortably (unless the other 4 people are older kids/teens and don’t mind being visited by birds).
This cabin has a beautiful view and tons of fun spaces to play. Like all top of the mountain cabins the approach is a long and winding road. I would recommend arriving at night as it is a remote and dark area. Fortunately, the seclusion allows for beautiful star gazing from the hot tub. The game room was well equipped, and the heater worked beautifully. The only drawback we encountered was there no sound proofing between floors or rooms inside the main cabin so plan accordingly if your guests go to bed at different times.
From the amazing views to the game room, we had a great time over a long weekend. The location of the hot tub and the fire pit are particular high points - just an excellent layout of the entire property, all to take advantage of a 1st-class view! Make sure to wake early to enjoy how the views change over the course of the day - incredible!
Our group had an excellent weekend stay at this cabin! The property is beautiful - gorgeous views and the cabin itself is in great shape. Our favorite spot was the deck. Kitchen and living area would be a bit small for a large group, but was perfect for our group of 4. We all missed the turn to get in (using Apple Maps) so some better driving instructions would be appreciated for future renters. Overall, we had an excellent stay at this property!
Our family really enjoyed this quiet getaway on the south end of the National Park, away from the touristy area of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The view from the back deck/hot tub is absolutely gorgeous. The game room was a hit with our 3 teenage sons after a long day of hiking or when the occasional rain shower popped up. It is clean, spacious, well equipped with amenities, and suited our needs for the long weekend. Communication with the property owner was very positive, as well.
Had a great getaway. Service and Wi-Fi was spotty but that’s just what we wanted. There was plenty to do and see in the area, but also doing nothing but taking in the views felt just as good. No iPads, no work emails, just relaxing as a family and enjoying an unplugged spring break.

An experience
Property was hard to locate, no lighting, sign covered by over grown bushes, no cell reception, electrical issues in master, cleaning was unacceptable I spent 1hour just cleaning the stove alone. The exhaust fan were full of lint which is a fire hazard and the fireplace was not cleaned. Had a few bug in house roaches that I killed. The deck on jacuzzi is falling apart and a post on deck by grill is very loose. So my experience at house was stressful for me. I paid a lot of money and unfortunately it wasn’t worth it to be honest.

Nice cabin
It was a nice cabin but i had 10 guest and the grill was very tiny for a group that big. Also the air in the garage/game room did not work very well never got under 75 degrees in there. The discription did say it was a bit of a climb to cabin amd thats a understatement. Our motorcylcles did not like the climb and the car spun tires in spots on dry pavement dur to the incline.
It also said it had a strech of packed gravel witch was very loose for motorcycles and kicked up alot of dust
Nice cabin for a group of people but not the best cabin for a group of motorcycles
Cabin was very clean and hottub felt great after a long day out and havkng the game room was fun
The property was well kept with lots of room for all ages. We enjoyed the hot tub and the great views. Communication with the owner was excellent from the beginning to the end of the stay.
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. We were in town for the Polar Express and this worked out perfect for our stay. Very clean and our children enjoyed the game room.

Weekend getaway
Really enjoyed our stay, property is very very secluded but cabin is beautiful and the game room was a plus
Easy access to property, photos tell the full story of the home. Great, secluded residence which allowed for a great golf getaway weekend. Garage game room a fun feature of the rental, full advantage was taken of the hot tub, fire pit and other amenities. Communication ahead of stay was thorough and helpful.
We had a terrific stay! The property was well appointed and comfortable. We spent our mornings on the porch and our evenings in the hot tub. We all loved the game room as well! Would definitely come back!
Loved the cabin and game room (shuffleboard was hit!). Small hit for grill cleanliness as it was filled with grease that would catch fire.

About the host
Hosted by Jason Ward
I’ve been visiting Bryson City and the Nantahala Gorge areas for over 20 years. My first experience was an ill-advised snowy spring break camping trip to Smokemont and Deep Creek (way) back in college. I’ve continued visiting through the years and now enjoy the area with my wife and son. We love it so much that we recently bought an absolutely gorgeous cabin and hope to share the experience with as many people as possible!
Why they chose this property
Once we decided we wanted a go-to vacation home in the mountains, we immediately knew the Bryson City area would be the place. It didn't take long to fall in love with Little Pond. It's the perfect combination of area, view, relaxation and side project as we slowly improve the home and grounds. We can't wait to share it!
What makes this property unique
Little Pond Cabin is located in an upscale mountain community a short drive to Bryson City. The cabin is secluded with no nearby neighbors to interrupt your mountain escape. The hot tub is soothing after a long day of hiking, and without city lights to pollute the night sky, the stargazing is incredible. The fire pit is perfect for evening s'mores or just unwinding and letting your mind wander as you stare into the flames. There's a small creek and pond water feature next to the fire pit area; the sound of trickling water adds to the ambiance. And the two-car garage converted to game room and additional sleeping area is sure to provide hours of entertainment.
