Wonderful Trip and House

House is great location and very peaceful; allowing us to recharge after a long school year. Kids had a great time playing in the yard and enjoying the creek. Host could not have been more helpful and communicative. Will definitely recommend and stay here again.

Perfect Vacation Getaway

We could not have found a more perfect place to stay on our trip to Pennsylvania! Everything you could need was available at the cabin and very clean. Location was great and close to everything we wanted to do, plus the creek in the back was so peaceful. We enjoyed some kayaking one afternoon, as well as the firepit. Brenda was the perfect host! We hope to visit again one day and have already highly recommended to friends! You won't be disappointed with this cabin!

A Little Slice of History

This place is wonderful! It is a vacation destination all by itself. There are things to do outside on the water along with the firepit. Wish we were younger to have taken advantage of it. Cabin is so unique that it was enjoyable to just experience it. Thank you so much for sharing it with others.

Relaxing stay near Gettysburg

Had a nice time during our 2nd stay at this home. Very convenient to Gettysburg with great restaurants and shopping along with touring the battlefield. German Christmas Haus in New Oxford also worth a visit. Only complaint was that the weather was horrible!

Sisters Weekend

Had a relaxing long weekend with 2 granddaughters, 2 daughters, and my sister! Sweet little log cabin alongside a beautiful waterfront. It was perfect for our get away. Only thing we’d improve was being able to use the pellet stove…it was chilly at times! Perfect stay!

River Relaxation

Mom 91, Sister 67, Brother 64, Sister ( Me) 61. Beautiful rustic log home with all modern updates, in a lovely rural location, right on the creek. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. Bed in master bedroom very comfortable. Other bedroom has twin cot with bunk beds, that we did not use due to comfort reasons. There were six seating options on the first floor that were recliners. House was well equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

Cozy Cabin with a View

We enjoyed our stay at the log cabin. The view from the back room and deck are very pretty overlooking the water. We stayed in November so unfortunately we were not able to use all the outdoor amenities, but they were there and in good condition. The house was mostly clean and the furniture downstairs was comfortable to enjoy family time. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and the master suite is a nice size with a comfortable king bed. The 2nd bedroom has a bunkbed but the bottom bunk is directly on the floor and the other bed in the room is actually a cot so it worked great for our 8 year old grandson, but it was a bit uncomfortable for our 19 yr old son who was sharing the room with him. The 2nd bedroom is best for younger sleepers. The cabin has 2 big full bathrooms which made it nice when getting ready each morning. Because we were gone each day visiting with family, we did not use the kitchen much, but it was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook meals. Our host was super kind and easily reachable and available if we had needed her.

This was a return trip for us for a long weekend. Wonderful time,and plenty of room even with our two labs. House is fantastic, and is missing nothing. Very quiet neighborhood but also close to things. Communication was excellent with owner. Looking forward to our return trip.

Enjoyable Stay

We had a very enjoyable stay at this cabin with many updated amenities. The location is very peaceful for a relaxing evening after busy days in Gettysburg. Host did reach out to see if we had any questions or concerns, which was nice! Although we didn’t use the available kayaks, the view of the river from the deck is beautiful. Would highly recommend!!

Wonderful spot!

What a great cabin! Perfect for our 3 adults and only 10 minutes from family we visit. Also perfectly situated between Gettysburg and York for visits to so many interesting places. The property manager is outstanding and responsive to any questions or concerns. Looking forward to another stay.

Quiet oasis

It was a beautiful house on a great property with the creek right there to enjoy! Fishing was great, the water was nice to be in just to relax when you aren’t fishing. The owner was very prompt, helpful, and took care of any questions and or needs we had, the neighbors are very nice. I would stay there again!

cute place, great time had by all.. plenty of room, very well stocked in kitchen and bathrooms.. games, darts, cards... 4 kayaks when i visited which was awesome.. water not great for swimming, but great for kayaking

Comfortable cabin close to Gettysburg

We had a great time staying at the cabin recently. We found it to be clean, comfortable and very convenient to Gettysburg. Brenda has done a wonderful job thinking of everything needed for the perfect stay and has great instructions in case you have any questions. The yard was great for walking our dogs around and the neighborhood was very quiet. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us, we hope to return on our next trip to the area.

Hands down, best rental to date

Loved this cabin! We will be back. Our favorite things were sitting on the deck, enjoying the peace and quiet and the view of the water Can't wait to come back!! The cabin was exactly as described. Before we even rented, we had a few questions, and the hostess was so attentive, and continued to be whenever we had a question. Bed was very comfortable, and plenty of linens and supplies. Kitchen was very well stocked.There is nothing that the house was missing for our stay, and it felt like home.

Who knew that this little gem was tucked away in Nee Oxford? It’s located in a non-descent neighborhood, so imagine my surprise at how adorable this cabin is. It sits along the river nestled between two properties, one separated by trees. We felt very secluded and the neighbors we did encounter were very sweet and friendly. I identified 22 species of birds and my grandkids lives down by the river, which I could enjoy from the deck. They fished while I sipped coffee. They were close enough I could monitor them and they could show me what they caught. A bunch of bass! The mornings were the best with most on the river and so many birds! Woodpeckers, titmouse, robins, nuthatches and more. Several types of ducks - my grandkids lived that. Inside, we played darts, cooked in an extremely well stocked kitchen, and even watched some movies. There is a full bathroom downstairs and upstairs there is one main bedroom with a super comfy bed. The upstairs bathroom is really nice and has a big bathtub. The room where the kids stayed was sufficient! Three twin beds- one is a mattress on the floor. They loved it. Some things to note, the steps to go up would not work for an elder or someone with knee/leg issues. There is no air conditioner except for one window unit upstairs. We cooled off one room then opened the windows and then moved it to the other bedroom. These two things were no issue for us! We will definitely return. It was close to anything I needed.
