Kauai Vacation
Property was in a very convenient location for easy access to all parts of the Kauai. Lyndgate park was close and provided a secure area for swimming and easy access to the ocean. Views of the ocean were good. Weather was excellent and sleeping was very good. The only thing we would recommend was an upgrade to the bathroom tube/shower.

Perfect beach side apartment
We loved this place! The back deck was a really good size with chairs to enjoy the view of the ocean. The place feel an just like an apartment with everything you need. The property itself is beautiful with walking paths to enjoy the weather. If you are not an early riser I'd recommend a sleep eye mask as the curtains do not block any light. There is a bit of lack of privacy due to the bedroom curtains and the living having none, but still worth it. There is no ac but appreciated that there was both a ceiling fan and additional plug in fans to keep cool. If you're an animal lover there are cats near the property that are friendly and just nice to see how its kind of part of the island to find animals everywhere that are cared for. We would def stay again.

This was a very nice place and you really can't beat the view and location. There were a couple housekeeping/maintenance issues but otherwise we would highly recommend this place and gladly stay here again in the future.

Little Gem in Lihue!
Conveniently located but still a slice of paradise. The grounds are modest but beautiful. We had a second floor unit with an awesome balcony. It was the highlight of our trip, relaxing out there. Beautiful ocean view, peaceful green lawns, tons of wildlife to watch. The pool is small but still nice. BBQ area is a nice addition. Our unit was a one bedroom with a super comfy bed. This room has an ensuite but the unit has a powder room also so loved that. Fold out couch was also comfortable and the sound of the waves during the night was great. I had the windows open. Lovely teak feel decor and kitchen had everything we needed. Definitely recommend!

This condo is just lovely! Well decorated and equipped. Bed is comfortable, shower has great pressure, kitchen had everything we needed. The best part is the view and sounds of the ocean. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat. We have stayed in other parts of the island but this is our favorite! Natalie and Neal

Great stay in Kauai!
We love staying at Bruce's condo Kaha Lani! We enjoy the breeze from the beach everyday and at night, and lovely to have the pool right outside the condo. Such a great location to get around the island, and so convenient to have the laundry right there next to the property (easy to use). We would love to return and stay at the condo again!

Great last minute find!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Bruce and LeAyn’s Hale. The Kai Nani property is beautiful and located on a walking path right above the beach. Sunrises were beautiful and we love watching the chickens and cats running around. The condo itself is very homey and comfortable. Lots of space and probably the largest lanai I’ve had at any vacation rental. There were a few nit picky cleanliness things that the cleaners could improve on, but not anything that would detract from me booking the same spot again. It’s not located in the most walkable area in terms of getting to shops and restaurants, but the beach is right there and it was a quick drive from the airport to the property - a nice thing if you arrive in the evening/night! For how close it is to the airport, we expected more noise and were pleasantly surprised with how quiet it was.

Awesome getaway
We loved staying at this property. The easy access to beaches, main roads, restaurants, and the airport makes this a perfect location. The grounds are very neat and clean, the local cats and of course the Kauai chickens are fun to watch and as a bonus you don’t need an alarm. The condo was exactly as described, very clean, well maintained and very well appropriated with everything you need plus beach gear. The bed is comfortable, there’s a great breeze all night long and you are far enough off the road that you don’t hear any traffic at night.

Wonderful vacation
Condo was lovely- clean, great location with a very nice balcony with ocean view. Whole complex felt very safe. Bruce was wonderful, very responsive and nice to deal with. He immediately addressed an unforeseen issue that arose early on and made it right. Apartment had everything we needed, a fully equipped kitchen and even some essential cooking ingredients. Owners also had beach chairs, some snorkeling gear, a couple of tennis rackets, golf clubs, books and games on hand. Condo is literally a three-minute drive to a very safe beach, especially for little ones, and is conveniently located and in fairly close proximity to grocery stores and shops. There is a quiet laundry facility in a building next door to this unit, and a friendly security guard also stationed close by. Condo does not have air conditioning, but there were several large and powerful fans that kept us comfortable. The complex does have some loud roosters making noise early in the mornings 😁, but this issue seemed not to be unique to this complex. Chickens and roosters seemed to be everywhere we went on the island and part of its charm. Overall we thought the experience was lovely. Would come back here without hesitation!

Perfect Kauai stay
We absolutely loved our stay at Bruce’s place! Location was great and felt very private and close to the beach. The condo was set up with everything you needed! We especially appreciated having beach towels and chairs already there. The lanai was perfect to enjoy the amazing views. I would recommended this place to anybody and would stay there again myself!

This condo is in a great location for visiting both the north & south beaches & the grounds are lovely and well kept. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen, beach chairs, umbrella, and soft-sides cooler. We liked that there are two bathrooms and the lanai is perfect for hanging out in the morning or evening. Thanks for a great experience!

Peaceful and Close to Everything
We had a wonderful stay on Kauai! The accommodation is lovely with so many positive points. It has a stunning view from the lanai of the water and the beautiful pool. We enjoyed relaxing in the shade of the lanai as the cool winds blew through on a hot day. We rented bikes during our stay and Ubered to get around. Being so close to Kapaa was a bonus. The pictures clearly depict the property and the owners were always quick to respond to our few questions. Thanks again for a lovely stay and we hope to return!

Beautiful place, great facilities, fantastic host ...
The setting and environment were great - ocean views, a pool, short walk to Lydgate's newbie-friendly snorkeling lagoon, and easy access to both Kapaa and Lihue, as well as points further in each direction. Very nice place to enjoy the whole island from. Bruce, our host contact, was fabulously responsive. When I asked a question about a minor issue, he promptly took steps to solve it AND be sure it met our needs - really great to work with. I've had lots of VRBO experiences, and the host can make or break it. This was all good - thanks, Bruce and LeAyn!

Kaha Lani a little slice of paradise
Clean and bright with all the amenities required for cooking and beaching. We loved lounging in the comfortable chairs with ottomans on the lanai for coffee and the sunrise and wine and sunset. Handy to the Wailua municipal golf course which we played at sunrise and twilight rates which were very reasonable although busy. Great location for touring north and south on the island. Highly recommend although the traffic in Kappa is crazy slow with the road construction.

LeAyn and Bruce live on the island of Oahu but find the island of Kauai a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the most populated Hawaiian island. We moved to Hawaii in 2017 after becoming empty nesters and having lived in multiple states from California to Wyoming. We love our three children, one grandchild and many grandpuppies but felt that now was a good time to move to a warmer tropical climate and slowly move into a slower overall pace of life. Kauai allows us to completely disconnect from the world and hopefully one day it will become our final retirement spot.

Why they chose this property

Pau Hana Hale - “our done with work house.” Pau Hana generally refers to the equivalent of mainland “Happy Hour!” These words are spoken to indicate that the day is done and it’s time to relax. “Hale” is Hawaiian for house or home. So this is exactly what we want to do when we visit our Pau Hana Hale, our Home away from work. Yes, we have an iron and ironing board, but we don’t use it while here. This is a place and time to relax and enjoy the ocean breezes, take a walk, play a round of golf, dip in the ocean, etc.. Please enjoy our hale as if it is your own, relax and use this great space as a point from which to explore all that Kauai has to offer. Respect the people, the culture and the places you come in contact with. Embrace the tropical ocean lifestyle and simply relax into the arms of Pau Hana Hale.
