About this property

Perfectly Petite Hudson Valley Cottage

A perfect getaway for a couple or small family. Solo stove and outside seating. Located in Ulster Park on a residential street just off of 9W. 4 minutes from Kingston’s historic Rondout neighborhood (Hudson River Maritime Museum, NY Trolley Museum and restaurants, shopping). 20 mins to Walkway Over the Hudson. <2 hrs from NYC. 15 min from Kingston Trailways Station.

First floor
As you enter the home, you’ll be welcomed by the light-filled sunroom and thoughtfully curated French cottage style. Take advantage of this room for morning cups of coffee, game nights, and cocktail hour. Use the keyless entry pad to unlock the main door and enter the living space.

This living room provides ample space to unwind, featuring a large screen TV and gorgeous vintage sofa. Log into your favorite streaming apps to enjoy the television.

The recently renovated kitchen is just off to the side of the living area. All appliances are brand new. Use the Nespresso machine for a delectable coffee experience, complimentary pods are provided! Enjoy home cooked meals at the small bistro table or head through the back door for an al fresco dining experience. On the patio you will be able to use the propane grill and enjoy a variety of seating.

The fenced in yard is perfect for those visiting with small children. There is a firepit area featuring two vintage iron chairs and a high efficiency Solo Stove fire pit. We provide wood and fire starters. Please remember to practice safety and supervise children at all times.

Second floor
To the right of the living room you will head up the original wood stairs to the second floor. The second floor is a perfect one bedroom suite, with the option to use the daybed and trundle, converting it into a two bedroom. The main bedroom, which can be separated by an original glass leaded door, has a comfortable queen bed, paired with antique mounted sconces on each side. Store your belongings in the closet or vintage dresser. The vanity serves as a great place to do your hair and/or makeup, or even as a desk for another “work from home” option.

The bathroom features a petite clawfoot tub with a rain showerhead, gorgeous penny tiling, a vintage sink and vanity, and all the essential toiletries guests could need, such as makeup remover towels, hair dryer, bath salts, and Public Goods shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Local attractions & recommendations
The Hudson House & Distillery is only 9 minutes from the cottage. Newly opened and offers distillery tours.
Black Creek Preserve
Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted house is open all of October, weekends only. 4 minutes from the cottage.
Weeds Orchards & Winery in Marlboro is 30 minutes from the cottage but well worth the drive.
If you’re looking to stay local, El Paso Winery is a small vineyard where you can bring your own blanket and picnic.
Shaupeneak Ridge Trail is a 2.2 mile loop located near Ulster Park, NY that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round, either by bike or foot.

Please remove shoes while inside the house. No parties or events. No smoking.

While there are no neighbors on either side of the cottage, there are homes to the front and back.

Please be cautious backing out of driveway.

While we would like to welcome guests who have infants and small children, we must disclose that the cottage is not child-proof. There is no gate for stairs and no outlet covers, etc.

Please take note the bedrooms upstairs are walk through- there is a door separating the rooms, but you must walk through the smaller room to get to the primary bedroom. The bathroom is located in the smaller bedroom.

Lastly, we are pet friendly-- dogs only, please. Pet fee is $50/pet for additional cleaning and maintenance. Please notify us of pets at time of booking.
