Practically Perfect
Excited about what we read and how this place reviewed, it surpassed our expectation. We would not hesitate to return. The home is beautiful, offers a fully furnished kitchen with a full compliment of amenity and cooking options, and plenty of space. There truly was so much to enjoy that we rarely left. We utilized the kayaks to casually cruise the tributary and fished daily. The dock has chairs to capture the sunrise with plenty of space to just hang out. We also took advantage of soaking the owners crab pots for a couple of awesome blue crab dinners during our stay. Seating is plentiful on the rear deck and at the firepit. Both of which offered appreciable views of the Corrotoman River. There was something to do everywhere. If I didn't mention the basement, we put some hours in on ping pong, foosball and connect-four. I believe we left no stone unturned, no sight unseen. Thank you Tracy for the great offering, we absolutely loved it and are still bragging about our trip.

Family Vacation
We very much enjoyed our stay; the home is beautiful and comfortable. The only downside was that we were not able to jump into the water to swim because of the jellyfish. We were able to fish off the dock and enjoyed all of the amenities the property offers.

Whatever you want it to be
This is a beautiful house with endless possibilities. You can sun on the deck, fish off the dock, paddle boat, kayak, all sorts of water activities with the homeowner providing so many amenities. The view of the river is spectacular. If you just want to curl up with a book there are many nooks to do so. Our family had a great time of relaxation and rest. I hope we can go back again!

Wonderful house
Overall this house was perfect for a great getaway weekend with friends and family. Plenty of space. Clean. Beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, there were many jellyfish in the water, which affected our expectations of how we would spend our time in the water. The house had everything we needed. My only recommendation to the owners is to either put in light dimmers or add lamps. The overhead lights in every room were very bright and we couldn't figure out how to dim them. But that's just a minor issue. Overall, the house exceeded our expectations.

thoughtful hosts
Host has arranged a lot of fun things to do, bocce, ping pong, fussball table, nice set of kayaks, paddleboat, fishing gear, a Maui mat. Nice hot tub. Deck has great view of the river. Osprey, heron, a bald eagle seen. Pier is well constructed, well thought out. Boarding, exiting kayaks is pretty easy. Boating very peaceful. During our stay we could not swim in the river bc of numerous, small jellyfish. Kitchen is well appointed, nice knives, cooking tools. Lots of counter space, big fridge. Nice coffee bar and island. No problems with indoor climate control. Yankee Point Marina, 5 minutes away, offers 15x40 foot pool, shaded seating nearby, but pay the Captain’s Club fee, $100 in advance. Belle Isle Park is 15 min away, nice trails and a beach, playground; not crowded. We waded into the water knee high, out pretty far, swimmable for the kids. No current. This rental was a change for us. Our experiences were houses in the Outer Banks, NC. We wanted to try this rental out IOT reduce transit time, if nothing else. It’s more secluded, quieter than previous rentals, on a much larger property. Shopping and dining opportunities are fewer. No neighbors. For me, the organizer, this was fine, certainly as a change of pace. And there was always something to do outdoors, or indoors, and not too far away. I found myself getting up between 5 and 7 and sitting on the deck, sipping coffee, w binoculars on my lap. AshConBail Ren were cordial, responsive.

Family time on the river
This was an excellent property. Amenities were exactly as advertised, river view and access to the water was better even than the pictures. Property manager was easy to communicate with and check in process was seamless. House was amazingly stocked with kitchen appliances, spices, and any and everything we could need or want. Highly recommend. Despite having the world's worst luck with weather this week we still absolutely enjoyed our week together as a family in the beautiful house and look forward to coming back in the future.

Time at the river
We had an excellent time at this property. They provided a lot of extras including a kitchen that was equipped for actual cooking. We brought our boat and enjoyed the kayaks as well. There were jellyfish at that time of the year, so it was helpful to take a boat out into bigger water where they weren't a problem.

Worth the trip!
The house is absolutely gorgeous, the pictures posted don’t do it justice!! The beds were extremely comfy. The house has plenty to do;; kayaking, fishing, crabbing, relaxing in the hot tub, as well as indoor activities! We picked probably one of the hottest weeks to vacation, so didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors as much as we would have liked, but still had such a good time!! 10/10 would recommend if you like a vacation rental that you don’t feel like you have to go somewhere to enjoy your time. There isn’t much to do around the area, but the house makes up for that! There is also a ferry minutes down the road that can take you to town, but we didn’t end up taking it.

Wonderful family vacation
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house on the water. We usually do a beach trip to the outer banks but it’s so far away and expensive and we’ve been frustrated with our rental company experiences in the past. This whole experience was so easy and the house had everything we wanted. Everything seems brand new, beautifully decorated, fully stocked (even keurig pods), and the views are incredible. It’s so peaceful and you have the whole area and dock to yourself. We used the fishing poles and crab pots and caught enough crabs for dinner for 10 people. We used the kayaks, paddle boat and paddle board every day and took out the large floating Maui mat (4 full grown adults can lay on it comfortably) which was so fun. We couldn’t really swim in the water because there were jellyfish but it wasn’t an issue because we used the watercraft. The hot tub was clean and huge, we loved going in there every night. There is even a fooze ball table in the basement which also has a second kitchen. The beds were super comfortable and we also loved the cool chairs on the patio and used the fire pit to make s’mores. As mentioned before the corner store is about a mile away and well stocked and open until 9pm. The owner was really responsive and very helpful as well as being patient with us as we changed our dates a few times in the beginning:) we would love to come back next year!

Amazing Property, Natural Beauty, Well appointed!!
Our experience here was amazing. The property is situated on a protected cove of the Corrotoman River in the Northern Neck of eastern Virginia. Come here for relaxation, spending time with friends and family, fishing, crabbing boating/kayaking, and more. The house is situated in a private lot on a high vantage point overlooking the river. Stairs lead down to the dock which is on deep water and can accommodate a sizable boat (although we just utilized the four kayaks and the small paddle boat that the owners left on-hand), all in excellent condition. The garage is loaded with floats, rafts and fishing rods mostly setup with tackle, ready to fish. At night, submersible dock light illuminates the river and attracts schools of baitfish, large fish, nettles, and crabs….(so neat to watch the river alive with life in this light). While I caught many fish during the day, I could not crack the code to catch them near this light at night….maybe next time. We used the provided crab pots and hand lines and caught crabs during our stay which we steamed up for a delicious meal on our last night’s stay. Ellen’s corner store (about 1 mile away) had a great supply of fishing and crabbing tackle, bait, hand lines and refreshments…and it was open early and stayed open late! The house is newly remodeled and has incredibly comfortable beds, plush linens, a gourmet chef’s kitchen, a beautiful elevated deck and ground level patio and all of the small details that make you feel you are staying with a family member who has all of the things you didn’t know you needed! A Bluetooth speaker, ping pong table, gas grill and black stone flattop grill, fire pit and wood, and on and on. The place was immaculate upon check in. Communication leading up to our stay was excellent. I cannot recommend this property enough; a hidden gem in eastern Virginia….it’s the vacation you didn’t know you needed!

Memorial Day getaway
We had such a great experience staying at River Pointe Place. The view was amazing, the property was fantastic, and the house was so well stocked! We also docked our boat on property, which made getting out on the water super easy (we got to the Tides Inn in 20 minutes by boat). All my questions were answered very quickly and we felt really prepared for our trip. We would definitely rent again!
