We needed a place to stay for a few nights near Kirksville and we’re so happy we found the Rescued Wood Retreat. The house has everything you need and then some. It was clean and well appointed. We all enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend staying here.
I have always had to take a tote bin for utensils, pans, etc. for a week's stay. Though I had brought all that, it was not necessary. Great supplies. Up-to-date decor. Very nice.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. It was a truly relaxing weekend, you thought of everything when stocking up for guests. Hope to stay there again 😊
It’s so quiet and peaceful here; off the beaten path as well. Everything is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable.
Plus, the host has thoughtfully equipped the house with everything one would need to have a great stay, including wide variety of kitchen utensils, appliances, and other supplies. We would certainly book again.
Our family loved staying at Will's place! The setting is incredible with peaceful beauty all around, yet close to Kirksville/Truman State and public recreation areas. The furnishings and decor inside are upscale, spacious, comfortable, even for larger groups. Full kitchen, dining room, and deck were wonderful for family meals. We also loved the coffee bar, fast wifi, game room, very comfy beds, neat bathrooms, big sectional, laundry, and more. We didn't have a big family retreat this time but it would work well for that, too. We will definitely be back. Thanks!
Beautiful peaceful property that feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but is close enough to civilization. The house is beautifully remodeled and decorated and includes all of the comforts of home. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dinnerware, glasses/mugs and utensils. Appreciated the plastic cups located in the cabinets over the beautiful coffee bar for our daytime guests with children. The layout of this ranch home is great with essentially two master bedrooms with ensuites and another small bedroom and a half bath with laundry. The recreation room with the pool table was a big hit for our family who visited us for the day. Everyone also enjoyed playing yard games (that we brought from home) in the huge back yard, hiking a few of the trails, and the younger folks appreciated using the Jon boat to explore the pond. My brother and husband enjoyed chatting with the property owner (Will) when he was passing through on a golf cart and said he was very nice. Sorry I didn’t get to meet him, but I do know he is quick to respond to questions and is very accommodating. We were visiting the area for a family reunion and brought a few family members over the next day to enjoy this property. Everyone asked, “Can we just have the reunion here next year?” I’d say there is a strong possibility of this! If you enjoy seclusion and the peacefulness of nature, this is the place for you!
We loved this place! Beautifully remodeled famhouse surrounded by nature. So peaceful - I think I only saw 2 cars pass by the whole weekend. The hosts have thought of everything as far as amenities. Wish we had more time to enjoy everything this property has to offer. 10/10 recommend.
