Mermaids Foley has received some upgrades including a full kitchen with full size stove and refrigerator so you can come for a visit at the river and never have to go out to eat. My favorite feature of this home is that there is an enclosed porch on the front and has new sliding glass doors that open to the river so you have an amazing view and the wonderful breeze. Whether you want to open them all and enjoy the summer breeze or you want to watch the rain while being outside and staying dry. We love to watch sunrise and sunset on many occasions since its on a peninsula we often can watch them both. Many people come to our property just to relax and getaway from it all. It's always fun to watch the Osprey babies learn to fly and fish or the geese learning to swim. There is also "Big Blue" one of our resident great blue herrings that have their babies here in the spring. Others come to the area to visit Calvert Cliffs to hunt for a great Megalodon sharks tooth. While others come to enjoy or compete in the races at Budds Creek Raceway. Others are visiting for an event at one of the wineries that are nearby. There are many wonderful places to visit in Southern Maryland and tons of waterways to explore. We are also within one hour of the nations capital and the many many events and museums to enjoy there while coming back to relax on the water when you're done.

This property is a wonderful place to stay! It is a nice peaceful get away. Fishing is right in the back yard. Quality family time! The host is very responsive and helpful!
A beautiful location on the Patuxent river! Excellent view, and very quiet, with a dock within walking distance for fishing, and a 20 minute drive to many fine restaurants and beaches. Our host, Sophia, was friendly and accommodating. We plan to stay again in the future!
This is a special piece of property. The home is humble but accommodating and the land is so quiet and very private. I did not have a full understanding of how sweet its location was until we got there. It is literally right on the water and there is a ton of room to explore. What we were looking for was a place for our family to settle into and not necessarily go anywhere. This was a great fit; though, we did end up doing some side trips which were easily accessed as well. We certainly hope to come visit again!!
Ideal Pax River location! Although we own waterfront property on the Pax River further south, we rented both units at Endeavor Point for our WEDDING NIGHT. That’s how special this place truly is. It was the perfect location to host a few friends after our wedding reception to sit around the fire on the banks of the river, play some acoustic guitar, and enjoy nature. The scene was idyllic. 5 out of 5 stars. Would choose Endeavor Point over any hotel…and we did! Opted not to stay at the Gaylord or any other local branded hotel.
From booking thru checkout the owners were extremely responsive, flexible, and welcoming. Within one conversation Sophia felt like a friend. Both my husband and I were able to view the property in advance to make the appropriate day-of arrangements. Better than the pictures. The property is large, impeccably clean house is only feet from the private beach, enclosed porch is perfect for enjoying the view even if the weather isn’t cooperative, there’s free use of the pier, and the special touches throughout (like twinkling lights in the trees) make you feel like you just stepped onto a movie set. The expansive south-facing river view is ideal.
Short drive into Prince Frederick for all the amenities, but you feel like you’re on a private island. Hidden gem. Privacy is always key for us and the owners, although close to accommodate your needs, are respectful. We will be back to celebrate anniversaries. Maybe even bring our kids. Perfect getaway whether you’re a local or from out-of-town. Price can’t be beat compared to other similarly-situated properties. Such a beautiful memory for my husband, our family, friends, and me…
We had an amazing 🤩 Time .with my Family and friends ..!! We love here ☺️ So peaceful and beautiful place !! The new Owners are very Nice 👍 We are coming Back !! ☺️
Overall we have a very nice experience. The house was clean and perfect for my family. And we really appreciated the view from the back porch / sunroom. We spent a lot of time sitting in the sunroom with a book, the view at sunrise and moonrise time was priceless.
I rented a fishing rod from the owner and spent a lot of time on the dock. The owner Sophia was very nice and responsive. I enjoyed talking to her, and learned a lot about the past history of Benedict, and Chesapeake watershed erosion.
The kitchen was kind of small. but good enough if you want to cook some simple meals. And the location was great! The house sits on a tip of peninsula and far away from the other residences, but with a lot of restaurants within 15 minutes driving distance.
We were absolutely thrilled with our vacation and would come back again

I love to open my property to the public to give people a place to getaway from the daily grind and get back to nature and peace all while being a short drive from DC. I love to meet all the interesting people that come to visit and to hear their stories of what brought them here. This is a new property for me and I absolutely love living in such a magical place.
Why they chose this property
Quiet, peaceful, and in nature. While staying here you may see Bald Eagles, Falcons, Osprey, many kinds of ducks, and baby geese if you come during the right season. We have kayaks, and SUP available for rent to enjoy the two creeks nearby or the Patuxent River that all come together here on the peninsula.
What makes this property unique
One of the most unique things here is that because we are on a peninsula when the sun is rising you can also watch the moon and stars behind you and when the sun is setting you often aren't sure where because you are surrounded by a sunset. During the most recent eclipse I watched the moon eclipse and stars while also watching the amazing sunrise...it was truly surreal.
