Secluded cabin on the Mississippi River with a dock for fishing and river sports, a large back yard, deck space overlooking the gorgeous river and EV charger!

This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is located near tons of lakes, rivers, hiking, biking and more. Only 15 minutes from Grand Rapids, this year-round vacation home is a great place for a cozy winter stay or a fun, outdoor, summer, river escape.

We have cameras monitoring the exterior areas of the house for the security of our guests and our property.

Enjoyable Stay - Absolutely Magical

My wife, daughter and I loved the place and all the amenities, splendid attention to detail. Lovely home, convenient location between Grand Rapids and Deer River. We definitely want to come back and stay again at the Mississippi Cottage.

Family visit

Awesome lake home

Our stay at this rental was awesome. Everything was clean, updated and within close proximity to local stores and restaurants. The kitchen was more than fully stocked and the convenience of having an area fenced in for our dogs was perfect. We will go back again very soon!

Very nice vacation spot

I absolutely loved the spot. There was plenty of stuff to do in the area! The house was perfect!! They had everything set up very nicely and even had a nice black folder for suggestions on where to eat, ordering food and things to do in area. Very much appreciated the vacation spot!

Such an up north joy!

Absolutely beautiful and just how it was described. Communication with the owner was on point and so helpful. We had chickens visit us and a beautiful view and everything we needed.

Serenity with a view

Wonderful place, great view, beautifully appointed. Many thoughtful touches with comfort and convenience in mind. We grilled and ate on the deck in the evenings (the weather cooperated). We watched the loons on the river and even checked out the fire pit. Heartily recommended for a getaway!

Home base

We needed a "home base" for our extended family while we attended a family reunion. It was perfect....we enjoyed the property for sleeping and morning breakfast. Everything we needed was provided and....the view was beautiful!

Wonderful!

This property was perfect for our needs! All the little special touches made it even more welcoming and comfortable. Communication was some of the best we have experienced and everything was easy and clear to understand. Very clean! It was great that the bedrooms and bathrooms are on separate floors as we traveled with a newborn. Our only regret is not having the time to sit on the beautiful deck and enjoy the view. We will definitely stay here again.

Friends get away

It was a really clean nice place to stay, only thing said they had 3 queen beds and 1 twin but only had 2 queen beds and I twin. They did have an air mattress, which we used and all was good just thought it was all going to be beds. Nice and close to Grand Rapids to run into town to do some things the unwind wine bar was a really fun stop. I’m sure in the summer it would be beautiful there!

Simply Awesome

We were doing some work in the area and found this place. They have everything you need and were very accommodating since i screwed up my initial reservation. The Cabin was perfect, and it was just nice to be able to go and relax and sit by the water. When the sun sets it is just like a scene out of movie. Also, if you're lucky enough we did get to see a family of Otters playing they were the highlight on the last night we were there.
