This unit had lots of pluses, but also a few details that were a negative for us, so just sharing for someone that might find these items important. The fridge is good size but there is NO FREEZER OR ICE. The bed is queen size and comfy, unless you have a big tall husband and usually sleep in a king size bed. I had to crawl over him to get out of bed at night and there really wasn’t much room for me in it either. Shampoo and conditioner were provided, but bath soap was not, bring your own. Standard coffee maker, not a Keurig. The unit is small but cozy, clean and comfortable. I would stay here again, but only if I could not find a king size bed elsewhere.
We enjoyed our stay. It was good to be back in my hometown but unfortunately the visit was not all pleasure. It was not a big deal but there were some repairs that I think could/should be done. Other than that, Thank you!
Older Mobile home converted to several apartments. The location is in central Mobile. Was safe and secure. The owner always replied in a timely manner.
This stay was amazing! My pup and I stayed at this VRBO for 3 nights while I had two intensive days at USA. We had a great stay. The house is approximately 6 miles, but Old Shell road is the road that leads directly into the front of the college so there is a good bit of traffic with red lights. It took me approximately 20-30 minutes to get to and from the house to my building (which was on the back side of the campus). No complaints at all for the VRBO. They even had a fan and an extra blanket, two things that i usually travel with I forgot! Plus, there was a small yard behind the building that I was able to let my pup run a little and do his business. Also, trash cans were not far at all for me to dispose of his business.
I hope they will have me back next summer when I come for my second rounds at USA☺️
After a long 12 hr drive we finally made it to this house to see a rug rolled up and thrown out on the front stoop. Well okay, maybe they forgot it. Once we opened the door we were greeted with the intense smells of cleaning supplies and perfumes. Walk into the “kitchen” and trip over uneven broken/missing flooring to discover there is just a mini fridge with no freezer option but it looks pretty. We are too exhausted to look into it more and we both attempt to go to bed. There is a single wall unit for A/c in the living room. Making the bedroom sweltering hot and muggy. We make the best of it and try and sleep. My boyfriend who has a bad back tossed and turned all night and I felt as if I couldn’t catch my breath and just completely stuffy. Next morning we get up to shower to find pretty folded towels in the bathroom but a broken toilet paper holder (would not actually connect so the roll just kept falling if you looked at it the wrong way) and a pretty updated shower. Welp once you opened these towels you quickly found clumps of another persons hair as well as flakes of dirty or “outside” connected to these towels. Not impressed at all. Shower is not draining completely as you end up standing in over an inch of your own dirty water to get the rest of you clean. When we return the second night we again are hit with a smell of must and damp without the cleaning supplies to mask it. The area by the a/c is wet but the bedroom is just damp feeling and 20° hotter. There is more…
