The Secret Garden is a perfect home base for your Tulum adventure. It is conveniently located where Centro meets La Veleta, but maintains a natural jungle environment to relax in. A rare find in Tulum. This oasis provides a typical mexican style for your ideal getaway with outdoor kitchens, Talavera accents, and palapa covered verandas, while also offering modern amenities and comforts.

Enjoy a design that invites seamless interaction with the outdoors yet still provides privacy with its natural design.

The Secret Garden property includes a courtyard for gathering, a central pool, and 3 buildings. Each apartment has private bathroom, workspace, dining, and seating. 4 apartmens surround the pool, 3 with kitchen terrace and 1 with indoor kitchen. Our 2 bedroom apartment has private gardens. All apartments sleep at least 2, and some can accomodate up to 5.

Booking here will reserve one apartment, as available at the time of check-in, to fit your reservation requirements. Let us know your preferences prior to booking. If you wish to book a specific apartment, let us know, and we may be able to upgrade you.

Great stay!!

Apartment was fantastic, super spacious, really nice area and the hose was absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend for price point. It’s not on the beach strip but in the actual town of Tulum. Great food and drink options around there.

Secret Garden

This was a nice place to stay. There are approximately six units on this property and our particular unit was on the ground floor in a very lush garden area with a small pool. The neighbours were friendly and nice and the property manager was accommodating and helpful. I enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and the cat named Freddy.

Wonderful week in Tulum

The property is located in a funky, creative, newer part of Tulum. There were cafes, shops, and groceries close by. We rode rented bikes into the center of town each morning to attend Spanish school. The apartment was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. My kids enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Owners were very attentive and friendly.

Perfect jungle getaway

This rental was exactly the experience I was hoping for! Beautiful property that makes you feel like you're in the middle of the jungle, private, and a feeling of being part of the local area, rather than a big touristy resort. I loved having the kitchen area outside and access to the pool from the Iguana room. Had all the amenities you would need like AC and hot water but still an authentic feel. Communication with the manager was reliable and everyone was so kind. Location is great being close to town but still part of the local neighborhoods. Would recommend to anyone looking for a more authentic experience!

An Oasis in Tulum

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our host Kristi was a gracious and communicative host. Our accommodations were as advertised and were plenty of room for both of us. We had a room in the far back of the property and felt like we had space to ourselves. Some highlights of the stay included the provided drinking water in tanks outside of our apartment, and the way in which our space had been set up, combining 2 spaces into 1. Plus they have cats! We had a problem with the plumbing while there, but it was taken care of promptly after we reported it. One suggestion for the rooms - thicker curtains may be necessary for added privacy.

After a two months communication, we arrived to the place to find only 4 bed when we booked 6.

The owner Kristi ,lied to us about the bed situation, we arrived to 4 bed two rooms,, she called apartments while I booked for 6 beds as we were 6 people and left two in blown air beds and proceeded to hide from us and wouldn’t be helpful. The experience would have been completely ruined if it wasn’t for her lovely house manager Carla who was very nice. Not recommended stay

I would skip this place.

We checked out two days early. Almost impossible to find. Outside kitchen was very marginal. Refrigerator high in the air with dangerous bottle guard on the door, resulting in a bottle smashing on the tile floor. We requested a refund but have not heard anything yet.

A perfect oasis

Both the owner and property manager were extremely accommodating and great to work with. They welcomed my wife and I on short notice, and with open arms. They made many accommodations for us, and we can’t thank them enough for helping our vacation end on a high note. The place is a perfect oasis. Easy to find. Green. Quiet. Away from the hustle, but close to the attractions. We felt safe. Lots of incredible dive gourmet eats blocks away. World class coffee and pizza close by. My wife was homesick because of her cat at home, so we loved the attention from the resident cat. Don’t worry he’s not too pushy if you’re not feline friendly. :)

Lovely stay

Carla was amazing and so helpful. The location is walking distance from many restaurants and shops which was perfect. The beach is about a 10 minute drive which was also super convenient. Lovely area and gives you a great feel of the culture in Tulum.

A perfect stay in La Veletta!

I was already in love with this listing from the pictures alone, but I have to say, the pictures do not do it justice. It's a 100 x better than I could have expected. The house is in a quiet street a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the town center. It's clean, stylish and amazing value considering the price we paid. It immediately felt like being home and there's several little restaurants and bar in the streets around the villa. I heartlily recommend this place. Frida and Carla wne tabove and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They messaged us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend!
