Pat's Place was just what we were looking for. It's well-appointed and the location is stunning. We had a relaxing time sitting and looking at the water, swimming, and exploring Campobello. Our dog & cat loved it, too! Hope to be back some day.
This was our second time staying at this property. There were many upgrades from last year including a new couch and all new beds. The owner and his manager, Nancy made our stay spectacular once again. Hope to return next year!
The lane is aptly named; Pat's Place is terrific. It had everything I needed, the location is quiet, with deck, grass lawn, sand beach, looking out to the bay, and across to Campobello. The cottage sits off the road, West Quoddy Head and lots of hiking trails are nearby. I'll stay here when I can make another trip to Lubec.
This lovely, well-appointed home was lovely. I am already missing the view, the porch, the beach walks. Highly recommend if you'd like a simple getaway. Mattresses comfy, we slept like babies. Thank you!
Quiet & peaceful .
An opportunity to connect w the sea and just be surrounded by the beauty of Maine .
A great place to relax without the distractions of shops, noise, & overcrowded spaces.
Incredible night skies !
Hope to return to Lubec!

Beautiful area, slightly shabby cottage
The area is wonderful, with many trails and outdoor places to explore. The cottage was not very well cared for, with buckling paneling, curling floor rugs that can trip you, a can of paint left out on the peeling porch along with a brush with paint dried in it. And this is minor, but we expected a drip coffee maker, but there was just a Kuerig. Still, the area is so great that we enjoyed our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this family loved cottage. Everything we needed was provided. The cottage had a well equipped kitchen, fans for hot days and heaters for cold days, puzzles, dvd’s and lots of books. The washer/dryer was a great bonus.
The view across the bay to Campobello was lovely. Access to the beach was easy and there was so much to explore. Walking the beach you find sea glass, and interesting shells and rocks, and sometimes a crab or a jellyfish left behind by the tide.
The cottage is just a short drive into town where you find stores, restaurants and even whale watching tours. Bring your passport and spend a day on Campobello or hike one of the many trails of Cobscook Shores. There is so much to do or just relax, sit at the cottage and watch the waves.
Pat’s Place is the quintessential Maine family cottage! We hope to return again!
The private location and view are superb. The cottage is comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return. Some more modern amenities like a dishwasher or a gas grill are not included. The beds were quite comfortable. In one bedroom their are twin beds and in the other there is a double bed. The cottage is well ventilated because all the windows open and have screens. There are also fans. If you are looking for a quiet private simple cottage with a great view this is the place for you.
The location of this cabin is idyllic...a location I would choose for my own. If you love the ocean and all that goes with it....sounds of the surf, call of the gulls, wind, the coming and going of the tides...you could not find a better place. If you are looking for luxurious the cabin may not be for you... I however, found it to be perfect for our needs, quaint, comfortable and well appointed. It had everything we wanted or needed for a comfortable , enjoyable, restful week. I would go back tomorrow.
A quaint cottage situated by the water, Pat's Place is the perfect blend of old school summer and nautical charm. Spend your days watching the ebb and flow of the tide while taking quiet walks along the beach collecting beautiful sea glass and shells. If you're an avid hiker, then you have it made since Maine's bold coast trails are just a few miles away. And with the quaint fishing village of Lubec just down the road, getting acquainted with the town and the friendly local residents just adds to your stay.
A few highlights include the Lubec Brewery, Monica's Chocolates, Crow Town Gallery, West Quoddy Head Light House, trips to Campobello and Eastport, the pies at Helens, and the general splendor of Maine's Bold Coast trails...
Michael McCabe is a great host; very responsive and shared a lot of helpful details about the area. Notably, this cottage and the town of Lubec are dog-friendly. Our lab, Shea, loved every minute on the beach and made a lot of friends in town too.
At the end of the day, this cottage is warm, welcoming, and gives you just what you need; a peaceful place to unplug and rest, that feels like home. We loved it... Thank you!
