We present you our stylish holiday apartment, a small, fine apartment with two living-bedrooms to relax in together
in Badenweiler
- in the extreme southwest of Germany on the edge of the southern Black Forest
- in the Markgräflerland, the Tuscany of Germany
- near Alsace, Colmar and Vosges, Basel and Switzerland, Freiburg and the Black Forest.
The House
Our house was designed in 1995 by your host Monika Gebhardt from an ecological point of view and - as far as it makes sense and is possible - built and equipped with building biological materials. It is located in a preferred residential area in the west of Badenweiler at the foot of the Hochblauen.
The house is embedded in the natural, well-kept garden. From the residential street, a natural path leads from the car park and carport through the garden up to the apartment of the hosts and the architecture and art studio and past the natural pond to the separate entrance of the apartment on the garden floor. Enjoy the heavenly tranquility and the close proximity to nature on your terrace and in the beautiful rooms!
The apartment
The apartment is designed for two holiday guests who appreciate commonality and individuality. From the weather-protected, furnished terrace you can access the small kitchen of the apartment. The entrance and kitchen are located between two comfortably furnished, bright rooms, from which you can look into the garden and the pond through wide terrace elements (with shutters). Each room has its own and directly accessible shower room with toilet. All floors are tiled and partly covered with carpets.
The two rooms are decorated with works of art by the hostess (My pictures - Monika Gebhardt-Korth) and furnished with waxed and oiled wooden furniture: round table with chairs and comfortable wing chair, floor lamp, chest of drawers or secretary and wardrobe. In one of the rooms there is a 1.20 x 2.00 m bed, in the other a 1.40 m wide one, which is also comfortable for two people. The beds are equipped with new cold foam mattresses on adjustable slatted frames. (Duvets are "standard"; if you need wool blankets, please let us know before arrival!)
The kitchen, bed and toilet linen is provided by us for the entire booking period, including the towels for your thermal bath visits! You have direct access to the linen closet. Hairdryers and small items for personal care can be found in a drawer. You can get a radio / CD player from the hobby room. Of course you have wireless internet access.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. On request, we will be happy to provide you with a grain mill and you will also find an espresso maker. If you are looking for suggestions in your holiday home: In the back of the house you will find the hobby room with books, TV (satellite) and an elliptical machine. We - my husband and I - use this room occasionally.
The garden
We love the variety and the colorfulness!
Many places in our natural garden invite you to look and linger - the seat and the "bench" made of Maggia granite at the pond, the loungers on the terrace and under the mirabelle tree.
In the creation of the garden in 1996, the decision for a body of water and the choice of perennials and shrubs, the focus was and is on the fact that birds and small animals, as well as herbs, feel good here with us (there are no non-herbs!) , We prepare our teas from the garden herbs, fruit bushes and trees can be nibbled on.
The lawn is not supposed to be a golf lawn, the herbaceous beds cultivated wilderness, "eye candy", the bushes nesting places for all kinds of birds, the pond habitat for snails, orange-bellied newts and frogs. And if you witness the metamorphosis of a beautiful dragonfly that has lived under water for 4 years, that is a very special gift.
