Gorgeous, comfortable cabin. Clean and well stocked with towels, dishes, pots and pans. We attended a nearby family reunion, and would have loved to spend more time at this cabin. A bit of a drive from downtown Stone Lake
We enjoyed the solitude of this cozy cabin. It was a great spot for the grandchildren to play in the snow, sliding and making snowforts. The quiet road was perfect for dog walking.
We like to pick locations that are off the path a bit and private- This place is all of that. It's located at the end of the road- you really need to look hard to see either neighbor-- looking at the lake, the neighbor to the left is a least 200' away and the neighbor to the right is over 300' away with lots of tree coverage. The cabin has plenty of room and the screen porch is an awesome hang out space outside-- Jim is great with communication and very attentive... We enjoyed our stay at Slim Lake!
Our family had a wonderful time at this secluded lakeside cabin. The lake water was very clear. We enjoyed our paddle boards & kayaks. Did a long hike at the nearby Hunt Hill Center. Also enjoyed the Wetland hike at Stone Lake. We enjoyed our Ebikes on the gravel road. Used the Solostove and enjoyed the complimentary s’mores! Thanks!
I was hoping for some peace and was able to enjoy tranquility and beauty that will stay in my memories forever. A hidden gem that I hope I will return to again. My pups loved our walks and felt comfy.
Fishing, Water sports, Wildlife, Relaxation and Great Family time
Traveled to Slim Lake for a family vacation with our adult children and their significant others. No TV and limited Wifi made this the perfect spot to unwind and spend quality family time. We were also greeted with two complimentary bottles of wine from the management company. Thanks Jim we really enjoyed them with dinner.
Wildlife abounded with loons, deer, osprey, eagles, a young bear and tons of birds. Fishing was amazing with seven species caught in just one night: sunny's, perch, crappies, walleyes, lg mouth bass, small mouth bass and even a golden shiner (state record size at about 8 ounces). Several Walleye were 20 - 23" and even a couple keepers in the 15 - 18" range. 3lb 8 oz small mouth bass made the "oh wow" list from our novice fisherman.
Loved the two screened in porches on both sides of the cabin. The one was large enough for evening games and dinner while we watched the hummingbirds look for food in the feeders. I have never seen so many hummingbirds.
There was also a boat lift to use and a pontoon you could rent, although we brought our own fishing boat and kayaks.
This cabin has a/c, a ton of beds for guests, 4 grills, shelves of games/books and all the utensils you would need to cook some great meals, but bring your own cooking spices and condiments.
Loved this cabin but would have liked a little more shore space near the water. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away, unplug from electronics, have a small lake experience with good fishing and water activities.
