If you need a quiet location in a small but charming cottage with high speed Wi-Fi to work remotely so that you can fish/hike/river raft/bicycle/nap in the afternoons, then we just might be a perfect fit for each other. Relax in the shade from the majestic trees and cool breeze from the creek.

We are the perfect gateway location to everything outdoors up the river for hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting, fishing and more. We are also just a short trip back in to town for amazing restaurants and events such as Oregon Ducks sports, or concerts at the Mathew Knight Arena.

We have hi-speed internet for streaming your favorite shows and hosting video conference calls. The sleeping arrangements are two full size beds (one futon couch and one standard bed). Cooking is done on a 2 burner hot plate, microwave, and BBQ grill. Full bathroom with hot shower is just perfect after your all day outdoor adventures.

Just come and have a relaxing, no worries, chillaxing time at our cottage. Yes, it is small, but it is also cozy and is all kinds of just perfect for your stay.

As we are a country/rural location, we are continually working to keep mice/rats off of the property. This means that we regularly place poison blocks in various places, generally under the trailer and decks. While they are listed as pet safe and child safe, we recommend that you keep your pets and small children from these areas and monitor them while in the yard area.

Beautiful nature, woodland setting-right on a creek. Lighted patio with wonderful ambiance and accessories for outdoor dining and enjoyment. Super clean and spotless-inside and out!!!!! Very well appointed!! We didn’t want to go back to the suburbs.

This is an absolutely stunning place to stay! We were looking for a peaceful place to stay for the night so I could prepare for spinal surgery the next day and this was perfect. The host was very polite as well! We spent most of our time just relaxing in the private hot tub and enjoying the sounds from the little creek that runs in front. My surgery being rescheduled was a blessing because it gave us a few extra hours in what felt like heaven! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us!!

Relaxing Getaway

We loved our 3 night stay in this adorable tiny home. The owners thought of everything. We especially enjoyed all of the outdoor amenities; the firepit, hot tub and outdoor shower as well as the string of lights. Unfortunately, we overbooked ourselves and were way too busy and didn't get time to enjoy the hammock. The sound of the stream was so nice to listen to while we ate dinner on the deck. Inside was just as lovely, but we split up and one of us slept on the futon and the other on the bed (which worked out just fine). The whole place was VERY CLEAN. Not sure if there was an A/C unit (we couldn't find one), so we slept with the windows open. Might be a nice touch to add a few games or cards/dice for guests to enjoy (since we forgot to pack some). One final comment - the neighborhood is absolutely beautiful as well. So nice to walk and if you like to fish, I would think you could walk and fish the river which is super close by.

An absolutely wonderful cozy cottage with fantastic amenities and a very relaxing experience. Our favorite part of the experience was the creek that ran next to the front door, my wife and I spent some time sitting next to it and enjoying the lovely lights that ran throughout the space. Could not recommend enough!

We enjoyed our stay in the cutest tiny house. We were exhausted from our travels we napped and got in the hot tub at night. It was quiet and relaxing. In the morning we enjoyed the lovely muffins and coffee. The host has really put in a lot of work on this property. I will recommend to anyone who wants to stay close the hot springs. This place was convenient.

cozy Oregon retreat!

Our stay was so relaxing! The property was in pristine condition with so many neat amenities and beautiful scenery around - there wasn’t a detail missed! They even provided a pack n play for our year old and had it set up before our arrival. We spent most of our days in Eugene for a national track meet in Eugene and we loved being a little bit further away and enjoying this beautiful place. My oldest son loved the hot tub and playing outside in the open space. The property owners are also incredibly nice - loved getting to chat with Shawn! We are hoping to book here again for return trips to Oregon.

Anniversary getaway

Great little place on a nice creek in Deerhorn (not quite in Springfield) but a beautiful weekend getaway! Cute house and all that we needed. AC worked great as it was a hot summer weekend and absolutely loved the outdoor shower! We’d come back for another weekend

Perfect perfect perfect!

I couldn’t have asked for anything more from this stay! The owners are so thoughtful, and every touch that they’ve put around this little gem. I am a mom of two little kids and I drove down from Washington for a memorial in Eugene. So I used that opportunity to rest for four nights with my pup, and I had everything I needed. Open the French doors and hear the creek, walk around the corner to a perfect hot tub and rinse off in the outdoor shower. Have a glass of wine on the porch. I stocked up on groceries at Trader Joe’s and that was perfect for me. The WiFi works fantastic too. There is an AC unit in the home, but I did pack a fan to aim onto me and that was great for sleeping. So much better than a hotel and I would certainly stay there again if I were in the area. Thank you for the little oasis!

UofO parents weekend

For most people, staying 30 minutes away from university of Oregon is a negative. My experience? Best decision EVER! More exposure to other awesome places to see and eat. Such a great place!

About the host

I am told by my Irish Redheaded wife that I am blessed to be married to her since 1991! I am a sales rep for a roofing manufacturer and Kelli is a grade school assistant currently working for her Masters Degree in teaching. Together we have worked hard to transform our home and property into our little oasis and now we want to share it with you. My hobbies are woodworking and projects around the property. The tiny house was more of an excuse for me to have projects to get the tools out and create something. There will always be ongoing improvements and new ideas, so join us again and again, and again to see what is new.

Kelli and I also made the custom Adirondack chairs you see in the photos. Once on the property, you will see the many other things we have built together. It never seems to end, lol.

Enjoy your stay in our quiet mountain retreat, getting to know our two dogs, two cats, and two rabbits. When in season, we might be able to spare some of our Marion berries from the garden.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the property in 2012. It was definitely a diamond in the rough. But, over the years, project by project we have made it in to our little oasis. We love the views, the solitude, and the community.

What makes this property unique

Quiet retired folk neighborhood. Several years ago a golf course was built one block over and the houses that were built to line the edge of the course were built as well. The golf course has since shut down, but the little community of 40+ houses still remains and is very quiet with virtually no traffic.
