The space
Please contact me directly for Long-Term Stays, and lake levels.
Please be advised that California, and Clear Lake, are in an extreme drought. The boat dock, at this time, is sitting on the ground and cannot accommodate boats, and fishing off the dock is not possible until we get some rain. This home sleeps 6 in beds, plus there is a sofa bed, and a futon, with 2 bathrooms, a shower in one and a tub/shower in the other, a galley kitchen, with microwave, coffee pot, and a dishwasher. It has a washer-dryer, and air conditioning in most rooms, to keep you very cool. This home is on the water with your own private dock to tie up your boat, fish, or swim off of. It is in a very private and protective area that never gets rough water from the wind! Clearlake is a very warm natural lake with ducks and birds right in the backyard. There is fun for the whole family. Pull up a chair, sit down and relax under the market umbrella and gaze at the unprecedented view of Clearlake. Watch the boats go by and enjoy the sounds and smells of the "cleanest air" in California. Use the Gas or charcoal, Weber BBQ on the patio, and enjoy your favorite beverage. Be prepared for some incredible sunsets over the water right from your tree-lined lawn yard. Enjoy The Lakehouse!
Guest access
This home has easy lockbox access for check-in and out. Free high-speed WiFi, TV, DVDs/VCRs, books, games, and don't forget the outdoors! There is also plenty of parking for you and your guests.
Other things to note
This waterfront home has the best of both worlds. It has views of the main lake yet the calm smooth waters of a protected lagoon. Enjoy sitting under the patio cover and an awesome fire pit to sit around. The home is surrounded by a green lawn large enough to throw a football or play catch with the kids. Speaking of kids there is so much to do. Swim, tube, float, fish, catch crawdads, frogs, and sometimes even a turtle! There is a front-covered lanai with seating and a rear, lakeside, patio with a table and chairs.

Great lakefront property with a private yard

We loved staying here and the king tempurpedic bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely cabin feel and nice private yard. We enjoyed the firepit and grilling some steaks on the bbq. Hope to be back again!

Great location

Backyard has its own private dock for our boat to dock overnight. Backyard was large with a nice lawn area, great for family corn hole tournament. Air conditioning worked well on the hot days we stayed.

Perfect lake experience

We had a lovely time staying in this beautiful lakeside home for a long weekend. We were able to tie up our speedboat at the private dock and enjoy water sports on the lake. The back yard was grassy and soft, perfect for water fun fights with the kids (with trees to use for cover). The kitchen was well stocked, easy to cook meals, and a barbecue in the back yard. There are swamp coolers in 2 of the three bedrooms and all main living rooms to keep the house cool during the day along with the ceiling fans. The decorations and ambiance was very welcoming and comfortable. Only suggestion for improvement would be to install a swamp cooler in the third bedroom, and a garbage disposal to make dishes easier. Overall would highly recommend and would consider staying again next year!

Comfortable home

We had a great time grilling and spending time around the fire pit. The backyard was great with a great view of the lake. Although there isn’t much privacy in the backyard because the neighbors backyard is separated by short fences. But the neighbors were nice and welcoming. It wasn’t a problem at all. Would definitely come back. The owner Steve, was very responsive throughout the stay. 5 star.

We are living the "Good ole Days" right now, so make some memories and enjoy it! Life just seems to go by so fast and if we are not intentional about making memories, and enjoying the outdoors, the birds, the water life, and everything that lives, what have we done? Slow down for just a while and experience the lake life, to remember our dreams, the smells, and sounds of childhood, and to make new great memories with the ones we love. Or just to be by ourselves in the outdoors to make us better for the ones we love. I hope you get a chance to remember, Steve...<><

Why they chose this property

Here is what people are saying:
Just an absolutely amazing stay! A special place right by the lakeside. There's a nice lawn on the back to play corn hole. There was also a hot tub and a fire pit and we made great use of both! Internet worked great, TV was nice and full kitchen and BBQ made for some great meals together. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. Steve was wonderful too - great communication, quick to respond, easy-going, had an easy-to-follow and very reasonable checkout list. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

What makes this property unique

Welcome to the largest natural lake in California. Super safe, great walking/biking area with open space. You may spot rabbits, pheasants, Osprey, grey cranes, grebe, ducks, and even a bald eagle on your walk around the area. There are also frogs, crawdads, turtles, and fish. As you drive up, you will see an upgraded storybook lakehouse right on the water with a view of the main lake. A private lawn, yard, fire pit, Hot Tub, boat dock to tie up your boat, fish, or swim off. Inside you will find a King Tempurpedic bed suite, 4 other twin beds, fast Wi-FI, a smart TV, and a very cozy updated home to relax. From the yard, you can just sit and relax while watching the rare birds fly by and play in the lake and on the lawn. There is plenty of shopping including Safeway and Starbucks, a super Kmart, and great restaurants right in town. Just a short drive, or boat ride, to Free Friday night concert in the park, summer only. And a couple of the best "On the Water" restaurants. If you need a boat, I can give you boat rental referrals if you ask! Wakeboard, ski, tube, fish, or patio boat, we got you covered! If you need fishing guides or equipment just ask. This is the "Bass Capital of the West".
