Featuring three bedrooms and three en suite bathrooms all on the first floor, this beautifully renovated property boasts luxury amenities, abundant natural light, and landscaped patios. The great room invites relaxation with a spacious sectional sofa and palm tree views, offering ample seating for gatherings. Your Charleston getaway awaits!

The Space:
Newly & Completely Renovated 980 square foot - 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom single family 1872 historic cottage close to everything in downtown Charleston.

The primary bedroom contains a king bed, the second bedroom contains a queen bed, and the third bedroom contains a king bed. All three bedrooms have their own en suite bathrooms and all bedrooms are located on the first floor of the home!

This 2-acre private membership club nestled in downtown Charleston is a modern oasis offering resort-style amenities and a Bali-Tulum-inspired atmosphere unparalleled on the Charleston peninsula.

The Wonderer includes a swimming pool, onsite eateries for breakfast, lunch, dinner, trendy cocktails, and of course poolside cabanas! It also includes an indoor gym and fitness studio with daily classes, a recovery room full of spa therapies, private and shared workspaces, live music, and an active calendar of social events.

Compass Cottage is fully licensed and legal with the City of Charleston under STR Operational Permit OP2024-05380.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the front door through the keypad. The door code is given prior to arrival.

The home contains 3 bedrooms on the first floor, each with its own full bathroom.

Parking information
The private driveway will fit one small to mid size car. Please make sure your car does not cross the driveway or you will be ticketed by the city.

The Neighborhood:
What do we love about this neighborhood? Everything!

Each house is unique. The culinary scene for which the Charleston has become so famous is just steps away. Xiao Bao Biscuit, The Grocery, The Ordinary, 492, Chez Nous, Cannon Green, Trattoria Lucca, Stars, and Fuel (from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives) are all just around the corner - among countless others. The fantastic restaurants and nightlife of Upper King Street are close enough to walk but far enough to not keep you up all night.

Getting Around:
The DASH trolley is free in Charleston. There are 3 routes, and two of the routes have stops just 3 blocks from this property. More information can be found with the route map on the DASH website.

Other Things to Note:
Pet policy: As much as we love the four-legged members of your family, we do not allow pets at this property. Any sign of pets will incur additional fees starting at $500.

No smoking is allowed. Violators will be fined for in-room smoke damages. Smoking is only permitted outside of the property at least 10 feet away please.

No parties or events.

Please note that there is a noise ordinance in this neighborhood after 11pm daily, so if you are enjoying yourself please stay inside and be considerate of the neighbors.

Please note that this property has a propane tank for the fire pit, but we do not refill/replace empty containers, nor do we reimburse for refills. There may be enough propane for your use from the previous guests, but if not, empty containers can be exchanged at gas stations, grocery stores, etc.

Extenuating Circumstances Hurricane Policy: If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor during the dates of your stay specifically for the county in which the property is located, the extenuating circumstances policy will be in effect and we will refund any deposits or payments paid by the guest. We shall have no additional liability concerning the reservation. However, if a Mandatory Evacuation Order is NOT issued, then THE STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT SHOULD THE GUEST CHOOSE TO CANCEL THEIR RESERVATION. If inclement weather in any other part of the country or world during the dates of stay prohibits or alters the guest (or any individuals in the guest's group) from traveling to the property, a refund will not be issued, and we shall have no liability with respect to the reservation. During months where there is a potential for inclement weather, such as hurricane season, we strongly recommend guests purchase travel insurance.

Great Stay

Property location was a convenient walk to King St. The onsite parking was tight but an added bonus. The property was awesome and had everything we needed! The property management was very accommodating and would highly recommend.

Great location and Wonderful Stay

This property had all the space we needed for three couples to gather for a family birthday. The outside area was wonderful, there was a lot of beautiful outside light in the living area due to a large window and perfectly positioned mirrors, and the location is walking distance from King St. very well maintained and had all that we needed. When we experienced one minor issue, we had quick and supportive responsiveness from management. Overall this was a wonderful stay!

Great location and accommodations

This was a great accommodation for three young adults on a girls trip! The location was great and easily walkable to King St and other restaurants in the area. Unfortunately we couldn’t utilize the outdoor patio because of the cold and rain. My only complaint is that one of the beds advertised as a king was really two mattresses/beds pushed together but this wasn’t much of an issue for one person. Overall, recommend!

Great place for a family

Location and cleanliness were great. Easy communication but we didn’t need for anything. Thank you! Also, we fit a 7 passenger Chevrolet Traverse in the parking space. We just let our passengers out and then the driver squeezed out.

My 2 friends and I are real estate agents so we're highly particular when it comes to homes and this one got 5 stars from all of us. They did a smart and beautiful job of rehabbing the home in a way that was both stylish and practical. We LOVED that each of us had our own en suite bathrooms and the shared space was perfect for spending time together. The location was amazing–so convenient to everything we needed for the week. The responsiveness of the hosts was outstanding–quick and accommodating. I would recommend this house and any other CVP properties to anyone visiting Charleston!

Little gem

Very nice house with lovely linens and towels. Well appointed kitchen. Bedrooms were a little small but the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were very nice. Our only small complaint was that the overhead fan remotes did not work. Lovely bagel shop very close.

Our sisters /daughters trip was perfect and the house was so close to shopping and restaurants. We walked all over and loved the place! The decor is so nice and the outside area so relaxing! Perfect getaway place!

This place was absolutely perfect. Close to everything you could ever need in Chucktown. Don’t forget to hit Holy City Bagels right around the cornerm. We will be staying here again for sure!
