About this property

Captain`s House A2 - New Condo | 2 Bed, 2 Bath

Oceanfront with direct beach access, this quaint seaside respite, built on Amelia Island in 1983, includes only nine spacious villas. Each unit is directly situated on sand and sea with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and a living room that opens to an oceanfront deck. A staircase connects each of the three floors, including the two spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms in Sur La Mer. A private boardwalk takes you to the beach, where you can explore and bask in the incredible views to your content. The condos of the Captain's House are a perfect place for quiet getaways, wonderful family gatherings, and vacations of all kinds. These are a premier Amelia Island vacation rental! Please note that you will have to take stairs to get to the property no elevator is on site. 
 
All fresh linens and towels are provided for our guests. We also provide a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing soap, dish pods, and laundry detergent. Beach chairs, beach towels, and a beach umbrella are also provided for you to use during your stay.
 
We also ask all guests to complete a registration form with Amelia Island Vacations through the secure site of DocuSign.

Ocean view Fernandina Beach

Cute condo on second floor, well appointed. Lots of small thoughtful touches that made it easy to enjoy. Great view of the ocean from living area and deck. Great location near downtown Fernandina. Easy access to hit the beach. Sounds from third floor, walking running, etc were a downside. Had one issue at check in time and management company had some communication issues.

Very thoughtful owner

The property was in good order and included many items not usually included in rentals (i.e., 2 coffee makers, turtle season flashlights, etc) If not for the a/c not working reliably, this place would have been nearly perfect. There is no pool but that wasn't an issue for this stay. The managing company was responsive, but they did drop the ball on the a/c fix.

We had a very nice day at this condo. We liked the location because it was close to town. Very easy access to the beach. The condo was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It’s so nice to provide beach chairs.

The property was in a great location. The unit was clean and well stocked. There were games, cards and even musical instruments. There were many plug ins available for chargers, etc. The beds were comfortable as well. The unit was beautifully decorated and best of all just steps from the beach. It also is pet friendly though we didn't have ours with us...that is a big plus for those of us that are dog lovers. I definitely would stay here again.

This beachfront condo is well appointed with every essential and then so much more. There are nightlights and flashlights, umbrellas, games, art supplies, etc etc. The kitchen has everything you need and the space is comfortable and clean. It is great location- near to shopping and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay!

Super awesome and easy peasy!

I really wanted to stay longer, but I had to go back because I had some responsibilities. The house has everything you can possibly imagine that you'll need. The patio door goes straight to the beach and, even better, there is a shower for the beach right in front of our room. There are restaurants within a 5-minute walk, and we ate at one of my favorite places (Salt Life) right on the beach with an incredible view. The service was really impressive, the house was super clean, and the linens were perfect. Everything was just amazing. Thank you so much, and we'll definitely see you again soon.

Great option for a long or short term stay

If you're looking for a beach front stay with easy access to activities, amenities, etc. look no further. It was the perfect option for our family that included two children under 12. Would happily return another time and recommend to friends.

Mini Anniversary Getaway

Property is as described in listing. Very clean, plenty of room, but most importantly on the beach! Ocean sounds plenty loud with the weather, but we still managed to find over 300 sharks teeth!! 2 were bigger than a half dollar! Checking in and out was very easy! Property management were easy to contact and very helpful!
