Noisy neighbors
The apartment was in a reasonably good location. Sagrada and Market were walkable, Casa Battló and Park Güell easily reached by PT.
The best things about the apartment were great airconditioning and when available a fabulous rooftop terrace albeit the restricted hours you were allowed to visit it made it difficult to enjoy. Obviously we were out during the day and for dinner. So by the time we got home it was too late. Also the code we were given only worked for two out of the 4 days we stayed.
We thought the lack of bathroom supplies (not even basics like shampoo and soap were provided) is for the price we payed a bit stingy.
We did ask if perhaps it was an oversight, and were told no. It wouldn’t be provided; also no coffee or tea which I expected and have always been receiving in no matter what country I have stayed in was missing.
Unfortunately our neighbours who knocked on our doors at 11pm because they didn’t know which apartment they were staying in Annie the code to gain access nor did they have any internet to contact anyone. I tried to help them but unfortunately we couldn’t reach anyone and I had to eventually ask them to leave at midnight as we wanted to get some sleep. They continued to talk in the stairwell until well after 4!am and the walls are such that we could hear every word they were saying. Not quite the holiday we’d hoped for.
And finally the bathroom is minuscule. You can barely use the toilet.
All in all a basic apartment with basic utilities.
