Close to Walters gate of base
First of all, we would stay here again, but there were a few things that need addressed. The layout is great, it was clean, very responsive host, and the proximity to the base couldn't be beat. However...
First, and most importantly, there is a large whole, with an approximate 12 inch wide opening, in the back yard that appears to be an old well. It is haphazardly covered as though it was an after thought. Not safe for kids or pets. My husband and son dropped glow sticks down so we knew what we were dealing with.
Second, the master bed is a platform bed and was very difficult for my husband to get in and out of with his bad knees. All the beds are queen sized and the master ended up with the platform bed, didn't make sense.
Third, several doors, including bathroom doors, don't latch completely.
Fourth, the creakiest hard wood floor I've ever experienced. Definitely needs a new subfloor in multiple spots. And a couple spots where we could see some large splinters had come out of the floor.
Lastly, the iron needs replaced. The metal was scraped near the bottom of the iron and caused snags in 3 articles of clothing.
Again, I want to reiterate, we would stay in this location again, we assume these things haven't been addressed since the property is for sale.
