Close to the Cataloochee Ski Area, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and bustling Asheville, this three-story 3BR/2BA cabin is the perfect vacation spot for your family, any time of year. Affectionately known as Copper Top, this woodsy four-acre property offers stunning views of the Smokies from a picnic table and bubbling hot tub on the balcony.
Downstairs, the well-stocked game room offers pool, foosball, and darts. Two separate living areas ensure plenty of room to spread out, and both have satellite TV with an array of movie and specialty channels. Step out to the backyard to spend starry evenings around the fire pit.
From biking to fishing and ziplining, the cabin is close to a plethora of outdoor activities. Explore Soco Falls for hiking and rock climbing within a 15-minute drive.
ABOUT THE HOUSE
Beautiful floor-to-ceiling wood paneling greets you throughout the airy three-story cabin. Big windows bring lots of natural light into the living room, furnished with a plush couch and full-size sleeper sofa. Kick back as the wood-burning fireplace crackles and find your favorite movies on the 55 smart TV.
The spacious kitchen features all-white appliances, a bar with seating for two, and all the kitchen gadgets a chef might need. The adjacent dining table has seating for six.
The fully stocked game room offers everything from pool and foosball to darts and an arcade game system with access to 17,000 games. Theres a fun superhero theme, and the adjoining living area has a 32 flat-screen TV. Access a deck with a porch swing, or relax by the backyard fire pit.
The open-air hot tub on the wraparound balcony beckons with sweeping views of the Smokies. Cook out on the charcoal grill, then dine alfresco at a table for eight.
Upstairs, find a lofted sitting area with a couch, armchair, and more striking mountain vistas. The adjacent master bedroom has a queen-size bed, and a master bathroom across the hall offers a jetted soaking tub and a wooden vanity.
On the main floor, the second bedroom has a full-size bed and a 32 cable TV. A guest bath across the hall has an artistic pine-themed decor and a tub/shower combination.
Just off the basement game room, the third bedroom has two twin-size beds with cozy quilts.
Extra perks include driveway parking for four cars, complimentary Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities.
Please note, due to its remote mountain location, this home has unreliable cell phone and internet service.
THE LOCATION
Winter sports enthusiasts rejoice! Cataloochee Ski Area is only 8 blocks from your door. There's plenty to do in Maggie Valley in spring, summer, and fall, too. Picturesque hikes at Soco Falls and Waterrock Knob are within 6.4 miles from home, and French Broad Rafting and Ziplines offers adrenaline-fueled adventures within an hour's drive.
Arrive in downtown Asheville in 35 minutes to check out the thriving craft beer scene and renowned local music.
