New Years Getaway for 3
This house is located at the north end of Lake Lure and was central to things we did. Got in a hike at Chimney Rock and another hike about two miles from the house. Ran over to Hendersonville to check out the town and visited Point Lookout Vineyard, then had dinner in Rutherfordton. Did not get a chance to take advantage of the Rumbling Bald club amenities, but can see how those would be very convenient. Bedrooms, master bath, and living areas are huge! View is fantastic from either level. Cooked our breakfasts and one dinner using the spacious and well stocked cabinets and drawers. Vacasa made it a very easy experience.

Great Home with Great Amenities
Very upscale home with quality furnishings - it looks just like the pictures! The two living areas allowed our group to spread out. The house was very clean. The Rumbling Bald Resort was the top selling point for this property. We hung out on the beach, rented a pontoon boat, fished in the private lake, played tennis, and ate at Legends. The golf courses looked great - will bring clubs next time. The VACASA customer interface is weak. The property description did not include nearby gas station, grocery stores, or restaurants. It took 4 tries to eventually get that information. The diswasher stopped working which I reported to the provided number. I finally received a followup call 23 hours later asking about the problem with the clothes washer. I spent 30 minutes on hold to the "help" number and finally hung up. I had a similar problem contacting a human before our stay. There is almost no information on what is available in the house which would have reduced what we had to bring such as night lights, battery lights in case of power outages, etc. There are way too many serving utensils - many duplicates - in the kitchen which made it hard to find what was needed. I doubt all these utensils and serving items are cleaned between guests. Don't let the difficulty communicating with VACASA keep you from considering this property.

A large slice of heaven
This home lives large. A huge 180 degree panorama of bald mountain and the valley below . A large great room on the main floor with amazing kitchen, dining table and lounge. A cavernous downstairs living area with two story fireplace. Best of all are the sliding glass doors on both living areas and all three bedrooms opening to the great outdoors. This home is the total cure for cabin fever. It is more like cabin utopia.

Unwind on a mountain top with exceptional views
[Feedback by the wife]: For the hubby's "big round" birthday, he chose this mountaintop home with sensational views for an 11 day stay, and it was well beyond expectations. Photos do not do the views justice. The home was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. The road is a mountain road, steep and twisty but drive-able. We mostly enjoyed sitting on the decks and walking the road loop, and only made three trips down the mountain - for groceries, for a side trip to Chimney Rock, and sadly to leave. Definitely his favorite mountain home to date, and I bet we return someday. Highly recommend.

Great house fabulous view
My family and I loved this house. The view was amazing and the house was very comfortable and easy to live in. The mountain road getting to the house was definitely challenging but doable if you were expecting it. The view made it worth it.

Gorgeous home and resort
We absolutely loved this home. It has a really neat layout, nicely stocked kitchen, porches with amazing views, and very comfortable beds (which is always high on our list). The Rumbling Bald Resort was such a nice bonus. We spent a lot of time there at the indoor pool, pickleball, golf course, yard games, lake/beach and covered area for our lunches. If the permanent passes aren’t there which was our case, you can get temporary ones at customer service inside of Legends. We had a few glitches with a broken toilet and the guest passes but the rental company replied to texts and tried to help us. I was worried about the roads after reading some of the other reviews because a few of us in my family get motion sick. But we took it slow and were totally fine. And my minivan did fine getting there. Could be tricky in snow and ice but not any other time of year. We would love to return to this home and Spring Break was the perfect time to be here.

nice view, romantic setting
Beautiful property HIGH up on the mountain top, gorgeous views, quiet, modern decor and clean. We did not enjoy having to take our own trash down to rumbling bald and there was no wood provided for the fireplace. My suggestion is have the k cup maker in the kitchen instead of downstairs. highly recommend getting any forgotten necessities and some groceries from ingles grocery store before you arrive since this is in a remote area. Overall it was a lovely place to spend a romantic weekend.

Beautiful setting!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is lovely and the view is magnificent. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. No fault of the property, but dining options were limited due to local staffing challenges and distance - the house is at the top of a mountain making driving a little intimidating to us older drivers (especially after dark). Ingles grocery store was very nice though for those who want to eat in.

Mountain paradise
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience here was incredible. The home is perfect for a small group of friends wanting a nice mountain getaway. I would say you could sleep ten people there comfortably. just one heads up getting up to the house can be quite the adventure. Be patient and type in the resort address (go get your parking pass, then put in the house address) One of the many things we appreciated was the home was decorated in a modern mountain fashion. Typically when we stay anywhere in the mountains they feel they have to bring it inside too (but not here!) All of the beds were extremely comfortable. The hosts did not skimp on finishes or comforts for their guests. Lastly the view is simply incredible, it was wonderful watching the sun set and rise on the deck. We couldn't recommend this property more.

Beautiful home- gorgeous view
The view was gorgeous. Loved the house layout and outdoor social gathering areas. The stone fireplace was beautiful and the master bath shower and tub were first class, My 95 year old father also joined us. No steps to get into the house and deck as was a plus. Kitchen was the most well equipped of any rental we have had. Nice perk was the wonderful amenities at the resort.

Lake Lure Mountain House
The views from this house are spectacular! There are two levels of living space and plentiful deck space to spread out if necessary. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals along with the use of the outdoor grill. There is a screened in porch off the deck next to the grill area which is great for eating outdoors. There is a Keurig coffee maker on the bottom floor if that is preferred. If you would like to rent a boat I would recommend doing that ahead of time or right away when you get there as they seem to sell out. There are other homes nearby but it still felt very secluded and private. We enjoyed are stay in this home!

Nice home with a gorgeous view
My family and I had a great stay at this property and would love to stay again! The home is tastefully decorated and has a gorgeous view of the mountains from the back porch. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality utensils and cookware. We really enjoyed utilizing the beach and pool at Rumbling Bald which are just a short car ride from the home. Only 1 complaint--we were taken by complete surprise when a man came in through the locked front door yelling "routine maintenance!" He was there to collect trash from the garage, but we were never made aware of this and thought we needed to take trash down the mountain ourselves. It was quite alarming and honestly scary. Thankfully, it was legitimate but I would highly suggest coordinating a scheduled pick up for trash and communicating this clearly to visitors so they are aware! Also of note, the master bedroom bathroom sink was clogged and therefore somewhat irritating to try to use.

Beautiful home!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was amazing, it's true that the photos don't do the view justice. It's quite a ways up but the roads up the mountain are well maintained, paved and wide enough that the driving doesn't feel too precarious. The home was very well appointed and even included beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler that we used at the Lake. Would definitely stay here again. The only issue we had was with trash still being on property when we arrived. But that was because the previous guests did not follow the clearly posted instructions and remove their own trash. TurnKey quickly resolved the issue and had someone come and pick up the trash. I was able to handle that all through their text message system, it was very simple.

Amazing experience with the home, less so with TurnKey
Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The photos do not do the views justice! Getting to this home is a little tough because of how steep the roads are (might be tough for some cars that are lower to the ground) but wow, is it worth it. The home was beautiful and welcoming and we had an amazing time. The views are truly breathtaking. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and there were plenty of towels and linens for all of us. We had a lot of issues communicating with TurnKey and we're not made aware that the washing machine is broken. It would not have been an issue, however we packed light anticipating that we would do laundry. I was also incorrectly told that there is only a Keurig machine for coffee, however there is a regular coffee machine in the home for those who prefer a pot of coffee over individual k-cups.
