Transport to our quintessential Vermont home tucked on the hillside of a quiet dirt road . Enjoy easy drives to neighboring towns like Stowe, Waterbury, and Waitsfield allowing you to be minutes away from your outdoor adventure or meal. Our 1800's cottage was fully renovated to fit the needs of modern comfort while maintaining its vintage charm. The open floor plan on the first floor offers an abundance of light and brings the tranquility of the outdoors in. Enter through the side of the home into a sitting area with a TV. Ditch your boots and coats and head into the living space which opens into the kitchen and dining room, making conversation easy regardless of the room you're in. A centrally placed gas stove spreads warmth and cozy vibes for all to enjoy. The first floor bathroom boasts an open air shower with views of the pines or unwind in the claw foot tub.
The stairs to the second floor are steeper (and maybe a little creakier) than usual and take you to the landing which all bedrooms are accessed from. The rustic floorboards lead you to either a Queen room (x2) or the Master with a King bed and walk in closet. There is a brand new full bath upstairs.
The backyard offers a stone patio to enjoy summer meals under the stars There is a 'stream' that runs through the property adding peaceful background noise in addition to the other sounds of nature you'll find here. The home backs up to 100's of acres of protected land further supporting the 'remote' feel of the cottage.
We recommend AWD or 4WD in snow/mud months.

Amazing communication for rental, description right on, so comfortable from the livingroom with a delightful gas stove so easy to use to the most comfortable beds and bedding ever. Property description right on. Thank you so much.
This cottage had all the comforts of home and a great location for us, as our family lives just a few minutes down the road! Check in process and communication with Tom, our host, were seamless. Our only challenge is we had hot water issues, but Tom was very responsive and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable, quiet place to stay.
Loved our stay at the cottage near quaint towns of Waterbury and Waitsfield with access to great restaurants, breweries and beautiful hikes! The cottage was restored nicely with all the modern amenities. Really enjoyed having an updated kitchen, bathrooms and laundry facilities. The water supply is from a mountain stream and at times the water pressure could be challenging when all needed to shower at the same time but we were able to make it work by staggering our showers. We were two couples staying together and had plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet!
The cottage was just what we wanted for a ski week. Location = private and remote on a steep dirt road, yet 20 min to Sugarbush, 30 min to Bolton, and <15 min to both Waterbury and Waitsfield centers. House = ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids - 3 spacious bedrooms with comfy beds and 2 nice baths. Cozy living area, surprisingly great light for an old farmhouse, warm and efficient gas stove, and all the kitchen supplies you'll need - plus washer and dryer. Mountain water is amazing, but pressure is low, so conserve appropriately.
My family & I would gladly stay here again.
The house was more than comfortable & the beauty of colorful fall leaves falling from trees was so enjoyable
Lovely stay but hard for those with mobility issues
The property was clean, cute and had a great overall feel. However the steps to the bedrroms were very steep and hard for my parents who are in their 70s. There are also some threshold which are a tripping risk.
If youre younger its no problem and was a great place, just be careful with older folks!
Perfect size for the 6 of us. Peaceful location with beautiful surroundings. Close to town, yet away from it all. We’ll appointed and very nicely updated.
This is a lovely house for a family get-away. We skied at Sugarbush, and the drive was easy, and close enough.
There were six of us, all above the age of 18, and plenty of comfortable space. The beds were very comfortable. The downstairs was spread out nicely, so we could all enjoy each other's company at the big dining table, as well as, break off into cozy nooks to watch tv, read, or work on a puzzle. Internet worked well for the two who had to work remotely.
The whole house had a bright and airy atmosphere.
We appreciated the the host would quickly answer any questions via email.
Thanks for a great stay!
Four of us were in town for a wedding and stayed in this super cute cottage up a dirt road. It seems to be newly renovated - open layout downstairs, nice kitchen appliances, beautiful downstairs bathroom, comfy beds upstairs, and great amenities. We were busy with wedding activities but wish we had a chance to hang out at the cottage and take advantage of the grill, fire pits, and gorgeous surroundings. Very comfortable, enjoyable stay!
