Gracious

Owners were very gracious in adjusting our time frame for our stay. A beautiful building. My husband is an architect and loved it even though there is a bit of a maintenance issue. Clean but numerous broken items, starting with the railing when you walk up to the house.

Very hot

It was a very nice place, but with the temperature that it was and just a little portable air conditioner it didn’t cool the kitchen at all or the bedroom next to the kitchen. The kitchen was extremely hot and the coolest the bedroom by the kitchen got was 79. It mostly stayed at 81 in the bedroom by the kitchen. I had to reset the Internet, probably 15 times then it didn’t always work resetting it. It would’ve been perfect in the winter time, besides the Internet going out.

Anniversary Celebration.

We rented this historic home to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary with our daughters & grandson. We loved the woodwork, ton ceilings, antique furniture, prints & paintings. We enjoy a homemade breakfast together around the beautiful kitchen antique table! It was a 50 min drive to Erie so we left after breakfast & stayed in Erie for the day. We swam in the lake, enjoyed both water park & amusement park @ Waldameer, ice cream @ Sara’ with the family. Then my husband & I picked The Cork 1794 Restaurant 👍 & Mi Scuzi ( Italian) but since we owned a popular restaurant in McKees Rocks PA The Primadonna we were disappointed. We were married on the hottest day in July 1974 & we spent another hot weekend at the house. We utilized all ceiling fans & fans provided by owner. We had to take a few cold showers🤣 an next visit will be in cooler weather.

Historical and unique

This property Is the most unique house we have ever stayed in. Old radiators and pressed tin walls and ceilings, accented with a rogue woodwork make this a really cool place. The layout make sure obvious that the building has history beyond being a house. Apparently, it was built in 1900 as the water dept for the town of Corry. It was clean, comfortable and owner Holly was very responsive to our needs.
