The house has been newly renovated (brand new flooring, soft furnishings, great bathrooms, reliable heating, not brand new but new-ish, serviceable appliances) . Everything inside was very tastefully decorated and arranged. The view into the backyard is absolutely spectacular! If you like wilderness with deer hanging out at an arm's reach this is the place for you. The area is nice, convenient for hiking, Kalahari is 15min away, GWL and Camelback are around a ~30min drive. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our time. Yolanda was very quick to respond whenever we needed her to.
There are a total of 3 bedrooms which can comfortably sleep 8 guests. The beds have firm mattresses. The couches are pull-out and there is definitely the opportunity to sleep more people.
There were only 3 of us with our 2 dogs and we had more than enough space. One thing we were not aware of is that the pet fee was $200 per dog, not in total so I think we ended up paying as much in fees as we did for the actual stay. Yolanda was great in that she worked with us on the second pet fee - still, it's a quite a big higher than the pet fees we're used to.
When we stayed there there were still a lot of building materials like broken light fixtures, mirrors, old heaters left over from the renovation all around the side of the house. My guess is that they were under snow and since we stayed right after a big snow melt we inadvertently ended up seeing them before the owners had had a chance to clean up. The street is very quiet and the yard great for kids, but I wasn't comfortable letting my 4 year old enjoy it because of all the building leftover stuff.
